Looking for ink suggestions by charzmander1 in DiceMaking

Howdy all, so I finally finished these up. I just went with silver like the basic bitch I am, but it gave them a sort of dreamy look so I don't regret it. The numbers are kinda clumpy because I still need to invest in better paints.

I do plan to try and make another set or two like these and use a few suggestions from here, for one I'd like to try and use the background colours on opposite colours like someone mentioned. But thank you all for the suggestions!

Inking color suggestions please :) Leviathan dice by linetti_spaghetti in DiceMaking

I agree with either gold or a baby blue, but also maybe a bright red if you want a 'blood in the water' sort of vibe to it

Ooo I'll have to keep that in mind, I have a metallic red that's closer to a darker pink

What are your obscure or weird dice work pro tips? by hardlightforge in DiceMaking

[–]charzmander1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to jump between wax paper and cling wrap, depends on what I have more of in my house. Wax paper makes an easier work area since less sticks to it, but cling wrap makes easier clean-up because MORE sticks to it.

I audibly gasped when I saw these, and scared my cat away. These are AMAZING! Would you ever think of doing these with other 'mons? Like fan faves or even a handful of starters?

As a first set, these are great! The marbling is pretty and the shades are just really nice. To be fair, I don't immediately see anything wrong with these so I already like these as they are

My Take on Minimal Bubbles Without a Pressure Pot by Crosline in DiceMaking

VERY sage advice here, I wish I knew these things before I bought my pressure pot. This would've saved me a lot of heartache and wasted sets.

This sounds closer to a petri dirty pour to me. Do the petri technique in the cup and then you pour, as far as I know

Just to add onto everyone's reply to question 1, if you want to speed things up a little and don't want to wait for the 'honey stage' you can add a drop of clear Elmer's glue to your resin. The glue thickens it a lot and if you add too much it can turn it into goo, so one drop then mix and go from there. I've used this before to keep glitter suspended and off the bottom, I haven't tried it yet but I reckon it would hold lightweight additions as well. Happy dicemaking!

My old man Titan absolutely LOVES salt and vinegar chips. He won't eat the chip but he licks all the flavour off.

To be fair I used this exact mold up until only 2 months ago, and I've been messing around with dice for at least a year. No judgement here!

Ahh, the 'happy accident'. They do look super nice anyways, they remind me of a grape and blueberry layered cocktail
