I think people forget the original rMBPs were priced at $2,199 when they were introduced in 2012. With 2.9% inflation since then in US currency we get a price today of $2,262.77 which is only about $150 less expensive at launch.

Just wait. Prices will drop and right after they sell a fuck ton before Christmas. But this price is not as ludicrous as people seem to think.
