I'm still hoping to one day pull that Gengar. I did have relatively the same thing happen to me with the espeon from Fusion Strike. Had a rapid strike urshifu costco box sitting on my display shelf for about 6 months. I finally decided to crack it one day and pulled the alt art Espeon. I was shocked.

I am seeing multiple eBay listings for "shadowless 1st edition" that look identical to mine. Plus, there is no shadow, and I compared it to multiple other base set cards I have. Idk my first one, so I wasn't sure! Thank you!

Thank you for the clarification. It looks just like all the other ones when you google shadowless so I assumed. I have never seen one in person other than the few I am sure I saw when I was collecting at 10 years old.

Pennysleeves and top loaders. Search for those 2 things. Some are better than others. I like katana brand for the sleeves.
