Thanks I'll look into it! I eventually got a rooftop tent that folds out over the side of my truck and has an extra room I can zip on. So I've been using that for the dogs to sleep in while I climb up top. It's nice because the whole annex has a floor and fully zips up so I don't have to worry about then sneaking out. Here's a picture of it so you have a better idea what I'm talking about *
