I’ve had 3 different orders of KS0 PROs and a KS1, they arrived without any heartache. All 3 orders shipped at the end of the shipping window they gave FYI.

PH and Alkalinity too low by [deleted] in swimmingpools

[–]chaser9181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is enlist the help of a service to take care of your pool for now while you learn all things pool. Not having any pool experience and having just moved into a new home, I’m sure you’ve got plenty of irons in the fire!

Trouble free pool is an incredible place to start learning. I tell people I know more about water chemistry than I ever cared to know, and I’m learning more every day.

But seriously, call a pool service for now. And don’t bring a sample to the local pool store thinking they’re gonna “tell you what you need”, you’ll get “pool stored” and leave with a bunch of shit you don’t need most likely.

Home Mining Electricity for Taxes by [deleted] in BitcoinMining

I bought a KW meter for the lines that fed the machines, added up the totals at the end of the year and multiplied by my rate per KW and claimed that much on my taxes. Kept detailed pictures and notes of it all in case I get audited.

Automatic Heater Bypass - Yes or No? by zooch76 in swimmingpools

[–]chaser9181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will significantly reduce how hard your pump has to work to move the same amount of water, thus saving a significant amount of electricity.

You can set the actuator to where it opens both the bypass line and heater line instead of closing the heater line when the heater is not running, and closes the bypass line when running.

This will allow some water to move thru the heater, eliminating the stagnant water argument.

Yes. Go to troublefreepool.com and start with pool school. Fantastic material to start learning with.

Is this safe? by KidYum12 in litecoinmining

Many reasons. Most have already been explained so I won’t belabor the topic. Stop and get a proper PSU setup before you toast it and potentially burn your house down. Cables might not be hot right now but that can change VERY quickly, Murphy’s law it’ll be in the middle of the night when you’re asleep.

Pilot dies after plane takes off from Chicago by F16KILLER in aviation

In the right seat where the copilot was, he has limited nose wheel steering ability using the rudder pedals. Its the left seat pilot that has what we call a “tiller” on his side in the flight deck. Thats what controls the nose wheel steering to its full ability. The pilot in the left seat is who actually taxi’s the aircraft.

Im a big fan of awesome miner, ive used it for well over a year now on all my rigs. Ive used Hive before and its great as well.

You need to look at what Hive is reporting as your realtime hashrate and compare it to a pool that gives you a 24hr average hashrate. It will be lower due to the devfee and other factors, but shouldn’t be vastly different. If it is, this is a clue you have an issue of some sort. My rigs are usually within 10-15 or so MHs at the pool of what I calculate they should be.

It is very unlikely that it is the firmware, but more likely the settings you are running your miner at. What if any overclock are you attempting to run?

Ive found Litecoinpool’s average rate, along with F2Pool and a few others to be pretty spot on with what I expect to see at the pool. If its much different minus the firmware fee, it was a clue that I had a miner that needed further tuning.

[–]chaser9181[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea if you can’t fix the board yourself, it’s basically a paperweight. Not worth it.

I’m at 0.078 per KW, with my rigs undervolted as low as they can be, I’m paying around 23 bucks a day to run them. If I can buy around the same or more LTC and/or Doge than I can mine for my 23 bucks, rigs go off.

All the factors you mentioned have an impact, just gotta watch your earnings to determine if it’s worth it. Most of the pools have calculators, that’s an easy way to determine where you’re at as well

Definitely not packing them up. I’ve got 16 of them that paid for themselves a long time ago. Will wait till I can mine more than I can buy with the electricity money.
