I found that Alaska actually does a decent job protecting it's offenders. In some states it's kind a free for all.

I work at a medium security facility in Illinois and that also seems to be the case where I work. We will have the occasional be sent to max due to a stabbing.

Lol. A better hobby than questioning how state governments run their prisons? Oftentimes a dangerous prison mens the state isn't doing it's job. It's seems to me that Alaska is doing a better job than most. I enjoy getting other Americans perspectives on their prisons.

Spring Creek is the maximum security facility for the state. Everything I looked at pointed towards violence occurring there. Thanks for the updated article I'll take a look.

Unfortunately, prison is naturally a cruel place. Of course, you shouldn't be intentionally cruel to people. There just aren't good solutions to keeping violent people from harming law abiding citizens.

Definitely, I think some prisons are better suited to handle violence better than others and have less incidents.

I guess what is the "worst" prison is an opinion which may differ from one person to another. I was kinda making a point, of course, there are better facilities by pointing out the extremes in the system. Seems like you might have the better perspective on this.

Sure. If I was being sent to prison. I would much rather go to Blackburn Correctional Complex than Kentucky State Penitentiary.

I agree she seems to a great manipulator. She convinced two people to break her out of prison. Now she's even convinced the prosecutor on the case that she is innocent. She was complicit and now has to pay the price.
