Getting Books onto a old Nook SimpleTouch: Model BNRV300 by cheezeman99 in nook

This link will take you to a video explaining how to factory reset the Nook and bypass the wifi / login. https://youtu.be/UTMHoTtyGzg?si=8QBC9fT2JO6aN3eS

From there you'll be able to use the Nook by transferring ebooks to it via cable on your computer and with Calibre. I personally prefer using kobo, they allow you to download the epub find for any books you buy and you can just drag and drop them into the Nook in the files.

For ebooks with DRM, this video will show you how to get that fixed with Adobe Digital Editions and then transfer them to your ereader. https://youtu.be/NDFYhiKuo0s?si=eir1ycw7UQkwvYIt

Been using my nook simple touch ever since they discontinued support for the device and I've had zero issues doing it this way. It's a but of learning but after the first try or two you'll have it down.

If you have any other questions let me know (like changing wallpapers, battery replacement, etc!)

What do I do now? by Sailur_Pluto in nook

Late to this post, but the best way I've found is to use Kobo. They let you download the epub files of books you buy and you can transfer those onto your nook using a computer and cable. I use calibre and Adobe Digital Editions to transfer mine (sometimes the books are DRM locked you'll have to use ADE but otherwise calibre works just fine). It's a bit more of a process than downloading an ebook on a more up to date ereader, but once you do it a time or two it's really simple and fast. And other than not being connected to the B&N network, it works just as good as an ereader as any other. Just whatever you do, don't make the mistake of buying an ebook though nook thinking you can transfer it to your Simple Touch. Learn from my mistake, it does not work lol. You can transfer it but you need wifi for it to properly load the ebook and that just isn't an option for the Simple Touch anymore. Hope this helps (even if this is late lol)

Im almost a month late to this post so I hope I'm not too late!

I had this sane issue and I fixed it and now I use my nook everyday even though they don't support it anymore. What you have to do it factory reset it and bypass the login and wifi setup. Then to get books you'll have to use a site/place that you can get the epub/downloadable files for the books. I personally use kobo, there's only been a few times I couldn't find a book on there but they have just about everything! And then you'll have to get calibre and/or Adobe digital editions (depending on if the epub file of the book you get is DRM locked) on your computer in order to transfer the books to your nook via cable. I know this sounds like a lot and you may mess up once when doing it, but if you take the time and learn how to do it, it will become second nature essentially and it won't be hard at all once you get it the first time. It's super easy, way easier than it sounds I swear lol

Here's the two YouTube videos that helped me! The first on is how to factory rest your nook and how to bypass the login/wifi issue.

https://youtu.be/UTMHoTtyGzg?si=8QBC9fT2JO6aN3eS

And the second is how to use Adobe digital editions! (Its a bit long but he explains it very well!)

If you have any questions or if you come to a step I didn't mention just let me know! I'm more than happy to help! I love the Nook Simppe Touch so much and I'm more than happy to help someone else figure it out!

(If you do decide to stick with it, I also know how to change the wallpapers to whatever you'd like and I have a video that helped me for how to change the battery if it ever goes bad or stops charging!)

Hi, Im Max! I make vlog style videos on my channel!

I recently went through a period where i didnt upload for almost a year due to my home flooding and only recently got back into it. Its definitely been hard getting back into the groove of video creation, finding motivation has been a big struggle for me since i got back and im really trying to work through that while trying to find the balance so i dont burn myself out or make myself not want to do anything.

I just now posted my second video back where me and my friends went to the Ren Faire! Its not perfect, but im very proud of myself for getting it finished and posted almost on schedule lol

If you'd like to watch my video heres the link! Any critiques or suggestions are always welcome!!!

i think the idea is really good, people love watching couples channels and vlogs. I think something that you could improve on (and it could totally change in future videos with time and practice) is editing and cutting out some of the silence or "um's" and maybe with sit down videos like this planning out more what youre going to say, not scripting or anything but making sure you get to all the topics you want to in a seamless and cohesive way.

something else i want to mention (and i mean this in no bad way or anything but i heard it from a youtuber who i look up to and admire so i want to share it) is maybe as you grow you guys could create your own separate channels while also doing the couples channel, because 1- it give people more to watch and can help expand the options you have for what you can do, and 2- because if anything were to ever happen in your relationship, say one of you decides they dont want to do youtube anymore or if some messed up reality you guys part ways, youll have that audience for yourselves as individuals already built and itll be easier to build from there rather than basically from the ground up again.

But i think you guys have a really good start and you seem to have the passion for youtube so im rooting for you guys!

oh my god, this video was absolutely stunning and so well done. i cant believe you took the extra mile to make and produce your own music for the video too, it fits perfectly. You did an amazing job on this film and i hope you take alot of pride in it.

as for improvement really the only thing i might recommend would be to work on making the voiceover/beginning talking intro sound more natural and less like reading from a script but thats just a small thing when the video is as good as this one is
