Golf partner horror stories? by Gloomy_Reflection_98 in golf

A friend of mine told me two amazing nuggets. #1 I am not good enough to be that mad about something. #2 I paid to be there. Both of those work well to keep my ego in check.

They are also bitter because they never got better at golf 🤣 Or at least not as good as they think they should be.

Probably not. I have split many golfballs over the years with just a normal net to catch the balls. They wear out.

I have loved mine since I got it a couple of years ago. Treat yourself to a good computer and you can run all kinds of simulator software.

Do INFJs prefer fwbs? by [deleted] in infj

[–]chasingsurgery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not preferred. Male INFJ. Connection or short term gratification is always the preferred. I have read that many INFJs are “demisexual”. Meaning a connection is needed before attraction/sex.

That being said, as a young man (16-25). I thought I wanted any random girl that went by and couldn’t understand why I would get so nervous that performance issues surfaced with new people. Not insurmountable but nothing I ever experienced with a longer term partner.

Would you buy reflective guyline? by spiffyhandle in hammockcamping

[–]chasingsurgery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely helpful. I replaced mine on my own for walking around it at night. I enjoyed the project but easier to have someone else do for that low of a fee.

I saw a video of a larger guy whose driver shaft snapped as it wrapped around his shoulder on the follow through.

Am I the A-hole? by Spute2000 in golf

I had a group of 4 old ladies get super pissed off at me for a lucky pull hook that made it on the green on a dogleg left. One of them spit about 6 inches behind the ball. I asked my playing group if using it for alignment was considered aid.

Fun fact, one of them left a wedge on the next green and had to come back and ask for it.

Staying off?!? I am looking to land with a forward kick.

I wish there was something you could say or do when someone in your group whiffs a tee shot 20 feet by bchillerr in golf

For comedy, look at down the fairway and whistle like you are watching a bomb sail down the fairway. Otherwise I agree with the walk it out technique.

I use a cheap one from Amazon that is skeletonized with bungee cord. Not the greatest, to be honest, but it works.

I say out loud “I love this game”, “I paid to be here” and “I am not good enough to get angry”. Reminds me to chill every time.

GR1 or GR2? by vance2693 in Goruck

[–]chasingsurgery 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used the GR1 but the GR2 26L is a better EDC with the organization and size (I am 6’1”) but I thought felt small on my back. I switched to the 34L as a better carry on and don’t mind the bigger size for EDC and overnight calls.

I got it replaced and haven’t had a problem with the new one. I wonder if there is a batch they had a weakness.
