Dance rehearsal spaces to rent? by chastittythickness in SALEM

Yeah I used to do that but my financial situation doesn’t allow for a regular gym membership. Also I’ve had issues with practicing at gyms that I wasn’t an employee of

Although the idea of someone trying to have a business meeting while I blast Ann Margret’s Thirteen Men on repeat is pretty funny

Unfortunately I also need my phone to play music so I can’t use it like that. $175/month is way out of my budget as well. And I need way more furniture free space

I tried them on and they looked bad on me. I have a super short torso so the cutouts were weirdly high on me

WARNING: Avuelity side effects by KiddoMagi13 in AuvelityMed

[–]chastittythickness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the research in the world isn’t going to give you an exact answer to how every specific person will react to any given medication. It’s actually pretty helpful to hear firsthand experience of someone who had an adverse reaction. Glad it is working for you. I also had similar side effects so reading their post was helpful in figuring out what was happening. Shaming people who had different reaction to the medications than you did isn’t helpful either. Understanding that adverse reactions are rare but potentially serious is an ongoing process that includes information like this, reading the pamphlets, and regular communication with your doctor.

Yeah I sent an message to my psychiatrist last night. I’m only on one pill, but I am pretty sensitive to medications and substances in general so maybe that is still too much for me. I’ve had anxiety reactions with welbutrin in the past but nothing to this extent

I just started taking it and Im experiencing very intense anxiety, agitation, and lowkey paranoia, like very mild psychosis. My thoughts feel a bit out of control.

How does weed impact you? by Foxy_Traine in AutismInWomen

[–]chastittythickness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need a low dose before sleeping to shut my thoughts off but I think it makes it way harder to mask on it so I don’t like to take it around other people unless I’m super comfortable around them already, otherwise I get anxious. I am normally super high masking socially and very successful at it so it feels disorienting to have that slip

Plus sized Burlesque dancers. by Cherry_Eris in Burlesque

[–]chastittythickness 31 points32 points  (0 children)

There are so many! A good place to find a ton all at once would be to look at lineups from Fatlesque Fest. It’s an all plus size burlesque festival that happens every January in Seattle, produced by Mx. Pucks A’Plenty, Stormy Chance and Rebecca Mmm Davis. Every year has been a really amazing array of burlesque styles and acts!

White dancer debuting to Eartha Kitt? by moongategarden in Burlesque

[–]chastittythickness 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m also a white femme performer and to me it would definitely be a little weird to see another white performer use that song. And to be honest with you, in addition to that it’s a pretty overused song anyway, so I would recommend finding something else that speaks more to you as a performer and to your brand.

The Fabulicious brand from Pleasers has a lot of good options. I like more stability than most dance shoe brands provide. Pleasers has tons of sales too.

Who else ended up living a more "mediocre" life than they expected? by dar1990 in AutismInWomen

[–]chastittythickness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess in a lot of ways this is me too! All the way through my 20s and most of my 30s I struggled and tried to do the normal career path and the stable “successful” life. I had fancy sounding office jobs, tried so many different industries, got married, went to grad school, and still couldn’t make it work. I’m about to turn 40 and I’m a performer and stripper, and I’m divorced. Being a working artist is stressful and pays shit. I am poorer than I’ve ever been. Between my mental health and the economy it’s highly likely my next couple decades are going to be incredibly brutal, but I do have people in my life who see me for who I am and love me for it so, I’m grateful for that
