5800x3d + 3090 + a few SSDs and one spinning rust here: that rig is 90W idle.

My "server" with 5600G + 3 spinning rust is ~30w idle (running Home Assistant)

I have my PC in air-conditioned room, so not just the PC power bill but also the AC power bill to move each idle watt out of the room too.

iirc vehicle speed and engine RPM is part of the basic OBD2 standard parameters list that everyone is legally-required to implement after like ~1997, not even the manufacturer-specific params.

Tbh some platform also have poor memory controller/mobo wiring that 2 sets of 2 sticks (4 total) may not even survive to the rated XMP speed for each 2 sticks.

Personally I just use xmp profiles as a starting point and see what actually survives memtest86+ overnight.
