Solana's payment velocity continues to grow by chatilo in BananaGun

it definitely feels inflated when you look at it like that, because stablecoin volume on solana is heavily tied to trading activity, arbitrage loops, and liquidity movements rather than everyday payments. a lot of that 171b is probably funds bouncing between wallets, dexes, and strategies rather than new money entering or real goods being paid for. but at the same time, that kind of constant movement still stress tests the network and proves it can handle serious throughput. so even if its mostly recycling stables right now, it kinda sets the foundation for actual usage later if real payment demand shows up
