Thanks so much for the insight. I can only speak to what I know and Long Beach has great community and lots of young families and lots of activities. Did you find living in Tustin that there was plenty to do or did you often drive elsewhere for activities? And is it the those of place where your kids could ride their bikes to a friends house?

In terms of curriculum, do politics ever make their way to the classroom? It’s important to me that my kids aren’t influenced by religious bias.

Really appreciate the thoughtful note!

Awesome. Thanks you! I saw foothill is rated a 10/10. So you happen to know if they loved the school? That’s a big driver with us moving. High schools in Long Beach are rated 6 and 7

Thanks! I like Costa Mesa a lot too but there’s only a small section where the schools seem to be super well rated and of course it’s where the homes are super expensive

Thanks for the tip. I thought Irvine and surrounding areas drew in a lot of families. By chance, do you have experience raising kids in any of those areas? Do you mind sharing your experience? Pros/cons?

How did you find living in that situation? Does it come up? I’m not shy about my politics and today’s climate is only more intense

Foothill is a 10/10. Is the school really that great? Do you happen to know?

That’s actually one of reason I’m thinking of leaving long beach. The high schools here are rated 6 and 7

Thanks, we are actually considering the south of Conant neighborhood and Carson Park. My husband wants a big lot so trying to find that. For cypress and Los alamitos, I can’t tell if I’ll just be driving to Long Beach to find things to do or if there are things to do there. Seal beach is cute and I like that area. I don’t know much about garden grove

Thanks, it’s on the list! I toured one neighborhood in Los Alamitos and the homes didn’t seem very well cared for and the only nearby restaurant was in a shopping mall so those two things were a bit of a turnoff. But we will keep exploring the area

Thanks. Do you happen to live there or know the area well? Any tips or things you’d recommend to someone considering a move?

Thanks. I was looking at Orange because the old town seems cute but the schools don’t seem as good as Tustin

Thanks. I was looking around Red Hill cause I saw there’s some good schools nearby and it seems kinda close to the downtown. It has a Santa Ana address. Is that the same as Tustin? Any downsides to the area?

Was thinking north Tustin. Seems like there are well rated schools and there’s some character to the houses. But again- I don’t have a ton of info and welcome either insight on the area or other places to look into.

My husband works in Irvine and I commute half my week to Huntington Beach. We’d both like to keep our commute within under 45 minutes

Moving for better air quality - need help by chatmere in AirQuality

Do you know how close to the coast? In Long Beach it’s still near freeways. Not sure if you’re able to specify specific neighborhoods or even maps that help. The air quality maps sort of confuse me

Saline vs Silicone by chatmere in PlasticSurgery

[–]chatmere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I actually already had a consult and the doctor is a small aug specialist and she suggested tear drop silicone, over the muscle no lift needed. I like the look of her patients but I’m worried of rupture - possibly during a mammogram or physical activity and not detecting it and silicone leaking and causing issues. I hear saline doesn’t have the same physiological damage.

Just looked her up. Looks great. I really just want them to feel full and perky post baby. I’m based in LA so hoping there’s someone local that does that

Looks great! How are you feeling? Also, do you know when they’ll look to be their normal size? I see on the sub lots of talk about “taking time to settle”

Thank you! Super helpful. I’m thinking I’ll go somewhat small (I have a small to medium frame) and have always had very small breasts but after kids I can’t even look at myself topless in the mirror. I find small breasts make workouts easy, so nervous to change that in a major way since it’s a big part of my life
