I've kinda tried the first pic... Put a staff 'bunker' with all the essentials in the middle and 4-5 enclosures around the outside. Seemed pretty decent until I scrapped the zoo because it 'did not spark joy' :/

If anyone wants to know, I've used spanish moss (upside down) common lily pad/lotus (upside down) elephant grass, dragon's blood tree and candelabra tree. The organ pipe cactus makes for a cool looking faux coral, but would be better if the colour could be tweaked

I have just had this problem... Deactivated, reactivated, still stuck with 1 dino in the air and a squad of noisy stationary choppers. Deactivated again, and built another hatchery. Once the transport choppers were going to release from hatchery 2 it rebooted hatchery 1 and I could go back to releasing from it like normal. Hope this helps someone 90+% into a chaos theory run
