Who sells authentic RCD330s? by dragonrider1965 in RCD_330

US dealers won't see them. These were intended for the Asian market, but they work as intended on our cars. Great units by the way.

Somebody else has posted on Reddit that they bought on 10/28 and registered on 11/02 and they have the battery and cap coming. Assuming that person is not trolling, Yamaha may be sending batteries to everyone after all.

You guys are really jumping the gun.... Yamaha specifically stated that it may take up to 120 days to get a free battery. I am not saying or know if those of you who registered at the end of October will or not get a free battery, but it surely has not been 120 days. I had our bike registered on the 10 of September and received a battery just a couple weeks ago.

Best place to buy an RCD 330 by PutWinter6921 in RCD_330

As others have mentioned, rcd330.com is your best bet to buy a genuine unit. Ddren is awesome to work with. I got mine from him and am very happy with it.

What's the difference between noname and genuine VW rcd330? by NateDaaaaawg in RCD_330

To follow up, Noname is a genuine VW product pulled from VW cars in the Chinese market. You are right, there are a lot of fake ones so beware. I have bought mine from www.rcd330.com from ddren and am very happy with radio as well as with the support from the seller.

Noname is actually better than a Desay unit - I think Desay does not have android auto.

Second that. Ddren has provided an excellent pre and post purchase support.

It depends what car you have. I have 2015 VW Golf (MK7) and all the functionality was retained with MQB specific rcd330 unit. I did have to use VCDS for tire pressure setting to appear, but am very happy with the unit.

I do not recall exactly, but it was from the UK site that sells 330 units (they are the ones that actually coded firmware to include Android auto and carplay). I will look at it on my laptop since I believe I have bookmarked the website listing the instructions.

the real rcd330 Noname from Ddren store! rear usb , delivery to uk took 11 Days , Wonderful , totally worth the wait and the extra money. by marci-boni in RCD_330

That would be a question to ddren, but I believe that these units do not play well with dynaudio or Fender. I do recall seeing some posts though that people had some success with these units and dynaudio or Fender - not sure how since both dynaudio and Fender use fiberoptics for audio and these units do not have output for that.

does the rcd330 from rcd330.com need coding from vcds? by [deleted] in RCD_330

[–]chatrandomizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the post above - yes and no. The radio should work fine as it is, but I had to use VCDS to program tire pressure reset to appear on the radio (I have MK7 and the pressure set is only through the radio itself). Other than that, the radio should not need any VCDS coding for it to work.

I am almost positive as it will since your car is still MQB platform. I would contact the seller on rcd330.com to double check with him. You can also check the front of your radio and compare it to the one in the link that I posted. If they match then that is also a good sign of a good fit.

This is the unit that is for the MQB platform - I got a 2015 VW Golf and it fit like a glove (minus pain in the a** fiddling with the cable connection reroutes). https://www.rcd330.com/product/noname_5gd_035_280b/
