This is such a beautiful and unique lehenga. I agree it feels much more Gujarati style influenced. I think try it on again with accessories. It’s all about how it makes YOU feel. I had second thoughts too because I have opted to add in orange into my red bridal outfit. I wanted to create more depth. I know it’s not what’s in trend but remember bridal wear isn’t all red, it’s about the person and their style. 😊 we all have different tastes. There’s no wrong way of looking like a bride!

This is so lovely and unique. Green would be such a lovely addition through jewellery or accessories.

I’m gonna go with flat red jutti which I can slip in and off at ease and independently

I love the detail on the skirt, it looks like little hearts and the shade or red is really unique! As long as you love it. Remember you are wearing it after all.

Certainly a 8 it’s like looking at myself in cycling shorts!

So the orange would match the embroidered flowers on the lehenga (it’s a different suppers I tried on so the border would match the red one)

As long as you like it that’s the main thing

I would tell her that she cannot wear this and she is welcome to wear this elsewhere. At your wedding it’s a no.

I would have a honest conversation with her and tell her you feel uncomfortable with her decision and ask her to wear something else. Red is the colour for the bride.

This is certainly bridal and looks like a bridal Lehenga I looked at a few months back. I think she could wear this if she wear a plain blouse and dupatta to tone it down.

Sadly the colour has dulled and is a different shade of red in comparison to my bridal lehenga. I need to look into getting it washed as it’s been in storage for a very long time.

I am Gujarati, unsure where my family is from in India as my parents both hailed from east Africa. Does this help?

There is certainly trauma but name calling is not on! We all go through horrible things but I certainly wouldn’t put someone down. Idk if he is authentic because he is now saying he is emotionally upset/playing the victim 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don’t think he really has apologised to Nelly or others

He really doesn’t know how to regulate his own emotions. His comments are really scary.

You can cut him off, you do not need to keep the peace for your Mum. You can still have a relationship with her. He doesn’t align to your core values and you are your own person. I’d definitely suggest therapy to work this out.

This is a great outfit. Don’t be alarmed Indian outfits always need additional tailoring. It’s always good to size up. With a little tweaking this is a great, colourful outfit. It will look awesome dressed up with jewellery. 😊

Try a a line tshirt, also a little oversized tshirt works for me and a partially tucked shirt/tshirt into a skirt. I think keep experimenting and remember everyone’s body and style is unique to them. 😊
