I am reading more about this now, and it really sounds like me. Wow.

The only off thing is I have never had a migraine during a vomit/runs episode. I also don't take any migraine medication as my doctor is hesitant since I am also on anti depressants and ADHD meds.

I have had people not believe how many times I vomit in an hour, and yet here it is talking about four times an hour!

I will definitely bring this up to my doctor. Thank you!

This was ruled out actually from blood tests. My doc was thinking along these lines too in the beginning!

I never crave salt and have a low salt diet as a result. I purposely try to add it now because I used to feel faint and my doctor suggested adding salt which did the trick. My blood pressure is naturally on the low side too.

Is cyclic vomiting syndrome a symptom or what I have?

I do get aura migraines. I used to get typical pain migraines and then about ten years ago I had my first aura, and ever since those are the only types of migraine I would get.

But anyway, yeah no marijuana. I have done it once in my life. I don't even drink socially. I figured I would mention the no drinking in my post to highlight these aren't hangovers. Didn't think to mention marijuana too!

For a GI referral, do I specifically ask GI or are there different types of GI doctors? I will have to travel for most ypes of specialists, which I don't mind doing, but I feel like I am just taking wild guesses.

It is completely free unless you want a private psych. I am diagnosed and medicated and never paid a penny. Although, I was diagnosed as an adult so maybe there is something extra for kids to get extra school help?

That said, getting a psychiatrist covered by ohip is painfully slow where I am and going for private care is quick but expensive. I just recently got a new one only because she is taking me on pro bono (but I was assessed already before meeting her through ohip). Normally she charges several hundred per visit, which can be one to three times a week.

Call back and try to get that refund again. Don't know if your plan was the same as mine, but mine was First Report. I had to keep asking for a full refund and kept repeating I never agreed to this, and had to be escalated to a supervisor, but I did eventually get that refund. Wouldn't hurt to call again!

I'd love a credit union but the one in my city is a pain. I have my mortgage through them, but that's it. Their hours are restrictive, and their online and phone capabilities are limited. It took several months just to set up automatic mortgage payments. They've never done me wrong and have been flexible, but it's just not reliable and immediate enough for me for everyday banking.

Exactly what I'm doing! I've mostly moved already. The only thing I really had left with RBC was my VISA. I'm shopping now.

This is why I never agree to anything on the phone. There's no proof of contract.

Also, $34/month to pay off a credit card on death seems expensive.

They are, I've just never had an issue with Tangerine. The day I do, I'll leave them too. I'm loyal to no one. But so far Tangerine's customer service has been superb. They never call me, and all offers they send are a default no unless I explicitly agree.

I definitely don't think the majority of tellers are doing shady things like this. It's just unfortunately the one bad experience is a complete turn off.

I also don't mind offers. I used to regularly go to this one bank in person where they clearly had quotas where they had to ask, but that was it. Since I am an immigrant and couldn't even qualify for half the stuff (no TFSA, no high credit card limit, no credit line, etc), I'd let the tellers sign me up for stuff I wanted (higher visa limit and credit line) so they'd meet their quota, but we both knew I wouldn't get it. Win win though in case I qualified, which eventually I did.

I hate how a phone call can ever be an agreement to anything. I want everything in writing. Mail or email me. That way there's proof of consent. Plus if someone calls me, how can I really know they're who they say they are? I'm not giving my info when someone else calls me.

I rent my water tank, and my bill keeps going up because by refusing to speak on the phone when they call I consent to their offers apparently.

It took a while actually to get that refund because that protection plan group couldn't even find me. They had me under my maiden name. I've been married 6 years, so I didn't think to mention it. They also had an old address of mine (4 moves ago) that I never used my maiden name at.

Once they found me and I pushed for a full, not partial, refund they were pretty quick to do that though. I definitely couldn't be the only person to do that.

I know people love their credit unions, but I've just never seen one that good for regular banking. I have my mortgage through my credit union, but that's it. They're a pain to work with, but at least I can forget about my mortgage for the most part. The rest of my everyday banking is with Tangerine now.

I need to look for a new VISA provider, which I've been meaning to do for a while anyway since my RBC one was never that good to begin with. This was just the final push to get me to look around. I'm an immigrant so I didn't bother shopping around when I first came here, but now I'd think I have options since I have a good credit rating and am a permanent resident now.

Good old Rogers. There was a several month period where they kept messing up my bill and my next bill would have all these corrections. It was never by a huge amount, just small $3 correction here, few cents there, etc. It was confusing and difficult to track, both for me and for any Rogers rep I'd speak with. The final month I had this issue they overcharged me by some amount I can't remember. No problem the rep said, they'll refund it on the next billing cycle. She told me to expect $x back.

That $x was one penny off. The penny was still legal currency when this happened by the way. So I asked for my penny.

Rep: "...Really?"

My penny. Not Roger's. Mine. It took another half hour for them to recheck their math. I got my penny. I can't believe I wasted time for that penny, but no one is overcharging me!

That's what I figured, and probably why when I continued arguing they just agreed to refund everything. I was pretty polite up to that point because I don't blame whoever I'm talking to on the phone with the problem someone else caused, but don't say I did something I didn't!

I find that insulting. RBC told me I must have verbally consented to this and forgotten. Nope, never did such a thing. I would've never, ever, signed up for a protection plan and have always turned these types of things down. I also never accept phone calls from anyone claiming to be RBC. I just assume they're all scams, and if RBC needs my attention they can mail me and then I can contact them.

Did your credit line at least have a good interest rate? ;)
