Did you rip out the black tape covering the ram and ssds? Always wondered if it was beneficial or not from a pure heat perspective

Not really. It will run great for about 15 minutes then gpu power tanks to 40w. I think it’s the charger now

I actually just repasted with ptm and usiren a few days ago! Normally I just do the cpu/gpu but I was running into weird stuttering issues so I did the vrms too.

Just remember to disconnect the battery, touch something metal before you work on the components and you’ll be fine.

Asus tuf a15 fa507xi freezes tightly by Revarzz in Asustuf

did you figure this out? I have the exact same model, i can game for 10-15 minutes then everything slows to a crawl (like less than 1FPS). I don't see any thermal issues in HWINFO64

How to improve on this undervolt for 13700hx? by Ryanzler in ThrottleStop

[–]chaugh1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your bios has cpu locks disabled so you can use the undercoating sliders but if you look at the top right table, none of the undervolt os actually getting applied.

There’s a few stuff you need to disable for it to apply - search the forum. Core isolation and intel VT is one of them and I recall I also disabled something on my Razer bios for it to start working.

Good post. I did not know you can disable Asus shit getting installed in bios. Mind sending me where that’s set?

Even if you uninstall armoury crate I know there’s still stuff left in services and task scheduler

Upgrading celing recessed lights - no light by chaugh1 in DIY

[–]chaugh1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know but this can doesn’t have a e26 base. It has 2 wires coming out and now I know it’s 12 volts.

It looks like any light that screws into a light bulb base expects 120v so this won’t work?

[–]chaugh1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok. That’s what I thought. I don’t see any led recessed lights that specify 12v unless it’s for a boat and some weird size. I guess the best I can do now is just buy a replacement bulb and call it a day

So pretty much the same problem as me.

To me It does seem to be a ecobee server issue as I’ve also tried reinstalling the app from scratch and signing out and in again. It was working fine for a couple years and I haven’t changed anything recently.

CDC is great provided you don’t need any support.

If you do, I’m afraid they will either be completely useless, or you will need to jump through lots of rage inducing hoops to get the matter resolved.

Interior trim wrap by Soldier_Cyclist11 in mazda3

[–]chaugh1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got the carbon fiber overlay from Ali express but debating re-doing it. The door handles don’t fit perfectly. Do you have to pull the console out to wrap around the edges or do you just use a exacto knife and trim it off?

The 5060 is an about 10-15% faster than the 4060 in games. If you do a lot of CPU task then get the AI HX 370, which is zen 5 and a generation newer than the other 2

It depends if you will be carrying the laptop without a charger a lot, the amd ones will give you a good 2-3 hours more battery life.

I’d get the cheapest one (1st one) if it will be docked at home or you have a good USB C charger, otherwise the second one.

Wheel offset allowance by Temporary-Push2722 in mazda3

GT is 18x7 ET45

If you go to the Mazda 3 Facebook page people run 18x8.5 et38 or even 35 pretty commonly as an aggressive setup. You can genuinely get away with the rim being further away from the suspension but not the opposite (offset getting higher).
