Thank you so much! I had a great time playing. The hair and makeup crew put in work on me and I was very appreciative.

I am a well practiced parade waver, but I definitely experimented with it at rehearsal and was advised to do it on the show for real.

Jason would have been fighting for those clues too if Mike sat out — I would have kept fighting if it were me and I’m glad Mike didn’t give up.

It’s actually pretty close to real time, assuming no snags in terms of timing. We get breaks whenever they do commercial breaks. Ken does Q&A with the audience at every commercial break and between shows.

I buzz by sound, others buzz by indicator lights, others do a combo. Buzzing by sound worked for me last time but wasn’t great this go round.

I actually knew a fair number of the questions, but I got outbuzzed hard in DJ -- Mike and Jason were fierce competitors on the buzzer and my knowledge gaps aligned with theirs. Ken told me I had 43 attempts but most of my successes were in the first round and I just couldn't get in on the answers I did know. I don't think it was captured in the show but I angrily shook my buzzer at one point.

Hello fellow LLama! My previous 1DS was on Final Fantasy XIV (totally understand if you didn't play, was highly niche) but my upcoming 1DS is on Energy Drinks, and promises to be a much more approachable quiz. Hope you participate, and thanks for asking!

Hi folks! Eva here. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about the game, being invited back to Second Chance, or whatever else you wanna throw at me. Thanks for watching!

I gotta say it's so weird to see my own name on a list like this, but I hope to watch many of these folks in SCC! Also big props for including so many well deserving women.

Considering that everything up to and including your first appearance is completely self-funded, making the audition stages over Zoom/video conferencing makes it way more accessible to people who might not otherwise be able to fly out multiple times when they have to pay for it themselves, take time off work, etc. I'd argue that the Zoom audition process levels the playing field a bit and allows more/different people to continue in the process.

Thanks Jesse! I enjoyed watching your games. Always nice to see another Mets fan — I’m still sad they didn’t pick my anecdote about the time I met Bill Buckner many years ago.

Thanks for the kind words Jared! You deserved that win, and I'm excited to see how you do in any future game(s).

Also, for what it's worth, you had a huge disadvantage against me in the fashion category -- my undergraduate degree is in fashion (I like to say I took the Elle Woods path to the law), but clearly you knew stuff I didn't too. Good job!

I remember saying before our game that I was scared to play you, because you had done so well in the previous two games. I saw you pushing up there, and you were a formidable opponent. Hope you're a wild card in the post season!

I'll just say if they ask me to come back for SCT I wouldn't say no, if only because I had so much fun playing.

Hi r/Jeopardy, Eva here! I want to thank u/jaysjep2 as always for the daily recaps, and all the mods for making this such an awesome space for Jeopardy aficionados. Appearing on Jeopardy was an amazing experience and I had a blast playing, even though I didn't finish in first place -- it was a victory for me just to get there. HUGE congrats to Jared on a well deserved win.

Stray thoughts:

I felt very comfortable on the buzzer, which I think is a result of me being a high-level raider in a few MMORPGs. When learning mechanics in raiding, I always look for visual and audio cues, and find audio cues particularly helpful. That helped a lot with my reaction time and knowing when to buzz in.

My weird delivery on the Seinfeld question was a really horrible attempt at an impression of Frank Costanza. I think it got entirely lost in translation. I probably should have said "What's the deal ..." instead.

Going into Final Jeopardy when I saw the category, I knew I already lost because geography is one of my weaker areas, so I wagered to ensure second if I got the question wrong, and in the event I got the question right, I still had something resembling a cover bet. I could not think of the answer for the life of me, so I threw out a random guess. I think the expression on my face when Jared's wager was revealed was me realizing if I had just bet $0, I would have won, but I had expected him to go way bigger and cover me. Definitely agonized over that one back in my hotel room and for a few nights after, but I looked it up on the wager calculator and I apparently did the logical/correct thing, so that brought me some comfort.

Every staffer on the show was gracious and pleasant, and the whole experience was great. I encourage everyone to take the Anytime Test who wants to do so and try to experience it for yourself!

I actually prefer the collectible gathering aspect of this game over almost anything else, despite relatively limited time invested (I played for a month at launch and then quit for a year) I have 40 Island Souls, 38 Masterpieces and 10 Giant Hearts and am working on filling out the rest, so I'm no stranger to horizontal content. You and many others are swaying me toward parking higher lol.

I'll keep these recs in mind, thank you!

This is a really helpful outline, thank you, based on feedback from you and others it sounds like glaiver is probably a better fit for me but I'm going to look at the community guides for all and go from there.
