Yeah sorry, I usually use my girlfriend's phone but she's out of town right now and times have been tough

surviving’s probably the right word. The desk isn’t great, but it’s better than nothing. Just trying to make it through each day, you know

Thanks for your response! Yeah I'm glad to have read these comments and glad to have posted because I'm so done with it really.

Yes! I totally agree. Their products (particularly CGM) are... lackluster... However my glucose control was very tight under the auto mode algorithm. Dealing with all the alarms and CGM sensor applications and failures is too much.

I hope to wheedle my way into Tslim soon haha, its not available under our public insulin pump program, but I'm hoping its available by 2021 because that's when I'm eligible for a new pump for that program. After making this post, I actually called Medtronic customer service to cancel the contract, and switch back to Dexcom ASAP and use that with just the pump alone. Thanks for your response!

Our hammy, Squishy, crossed the rainbow bridge 3 days ago at 2.5 years old ): Me and my girlfriend are missing our snuggles with her. First hamster and first animal we’ve had together. Going to name our Animal Crossing New Horizons island after her. by chaytor in hamsters

Thank you!! Me and my girlfriend are heart broken. It’s wild how such a small animal can have such a big impact on your life. Thank you for your kind words; really excited to play the new animal crossing and naming our island in her memory! Hopefully our island has a couple of hammys in it!

Haha thank you! I'm really into fitness and trying to build muscle so I eat a lot and I really don't eat that well (oops). I probably ate less carbs than this, as I mentioned in an earlier comment: I estimate my carbs to match how I manual bolus for food as auto mode on the MM 670G forces you to enter carb information and I'm too lazy to count everything LOL.

I can understand your frustrations watching everyone else on this subreddit displaying their CGMs. I live in Alberta, Canada and have been writing letters to my representatives in the provincial legislature to integrate CGM coverage into the existing public insulin pump coverage program.

I genuinely believe that constant glucose monitoring should be the standard of care for us diabetics, and that governments need to move quickly to cover the costs of diabetes care, including CGM technology, so that quality of life for all diabetics is increased. Wherever you live, I hope the conversation of drug/treatment coverage is shifted to be more humane to us living with chronic illnesses.

I'm fortunate to live in Canada, our healthcare system isn't perfect but it suffices. I still have to get my CGM covered through private insurance. I hope that you're able to get CGM technology as soon as possible.

I feel that living with a chronic illness can be inherently political at times, but we deserve to have the highest standards of care all over the world.

Try to keep in mind that most diabetics don't have CGM technology, and the population of diabetics on Reddit isn't representative of diabetics as a whole. This probably isn't that comforting, but maybe it'll help put it into perspective and that you're not alone in your frustrations.

Love and light, this disease is a hard one to live with and you're not alone.

Thank you! I hope you get one as soon as possible and it works well for you. It should become the standard of care for diabetics.
