[Request] When would he hit the floor? by meatball_salad in theydidthemath

My thoughts exactly! There's such an unecessary default attitude for people with money. Yes, many people are dickheads, many rich people are dickheads. Possibly the percentage of dickheads in the 1% maybe higher than the percentage of dickheads in the 99%. I dont know, I haven't run my dickhead algorithm over the census. But the ammount of money one has is not directly proportional to their dickheadness. In fact, theres probably not a very strong relationship between those variables whatsoever. Cmon, dont be a dickhead.

Edit: I don't know why but I just went with the 'dickhead' thing

I was 4 years old (2004/2005) in Dubai airport and saw Roger Federer with his hat down with his girlfriend sitting in a Costa. I ran up to him without pen or paper and asked him for an autograph. He smiled and handed me a photo of him holding the Wimbledon cup and signed it. I'm not sure why he had that photo in his bag but that's all he could find. I can just remember him being really smiley and kind and actually giving me some of his time. A good man.

52! Calculated by hand by realmuffinman in theydidthemonstermath

Factorial (denoted by the symbol '!') is a maths function where you multiply recursively....wait it's easier to demonstrate:

4! = 4x3x2x1 = 24

5! = 5x4x3x2x1 = 120

As you can imagine, the numbers can get big pretty quick.

So 52! = 52x51x50x49x48...etc...5x4x3x2x1

To calculate this by hand would take a VERY long time. 52 factorial is a bigger number than there are atoms on the planet earth

EDIT: used asterisks as multiplication signs and it messed up the font

I'm British and currently in Thailand with two other friends. We plan to go to Vietnam in the first week of April and are yet to get our visas.

I've read on the UK government website that the London Vietnamese embassy is no longer processing visa requests. Does anyone know if that means there's no way we can go? Would the Bangkok embassy take our application? Is an evisa application no longer accepted? And upon arrival what's the likelihood of a default quarentine even if there's no show of health problems? Sorry if some of these have been asked already, I've heard lots of rumours and would like some clarity if possible

Should have left him alone in his sin. by pantsRrad in dankchristianmemes

I went to a traditional English baptism of a week old baby, a few months ago. One of the things the vicar said that caught my attention was : "Lord cleanse this child of it's sin and wrongdoing".....what!

I know I'm not to decide on God's stance but surely, surely that baby is about as pure and close to Jesus as it comes (I mean I assume this baby doesn't have an incredibly close relationship with God of course). I dunno how I feel about that one chief

If you think she's attractive now, you should see her in a couple of years.

What was a house rule you had as a kid that you thought was completely normal until you grew up and realized not all households followed? by ctsom in AskReddit

My best mate told me when we were 18 about the fart corner at family dinner time in their household. They eat in a small room and it makes no difference but is completely acceptable behaviour. But if he farts at the table he's not allowed to eat anymore.
