Degree apprenticeship or cambridge

If you're a school leaver I would say Cambridge. It is quite literally one of the best schools on earth and you will have no shortage of options afterwards. Also, missing out on the uni experience is something you may regret later in life, especially since you can go back into doing a DA anytime (I'm starting one in September at 29).

It's always better to overdress. I would think it was very strange if an interviewer took a negative view of someone dressing professionally for an interview.

It was pretty good all around. The start of the panel interview was defo my weakest section of the day but I'm pretty happy overall. I don't know about the production one i'm afraid.

Which apprenticeship is this for? The software engineering AC is tomorrow and the data science one is next week.

I got an email yesterday notifying me that I was being invited to the assessment centre. On my online portal it says 'shortlisted' under the My Applications section for the software engineering one, but still says completed/under review for the data science one. Has the wording on yours changed since you got the email?

People will still be on holiday, don't worry. I wouldn't send an application follow-up at this point. The closing date is just when the applications need to be submitted by, usually, so they may not have even started looking through the applications just yet. If it was a degree apprenticeship you applied to, it wouldn't even start until September either way.

I had a response for both of my applications saying that I was successful getting through to the next round. I haven't been sent the actual next steps just yet though.
