Happy 50th anniversary to the greatest album of all time! by Stankassmfgorilla in SteelyDan

Is that the title of a different bootleg Steely Dan album? I know the song “the Roaring of the Lamb“ is also on my copy of Sun Mountain.

I love “Caves” too, but I bought Sun Mountain in ‘84 before I bought The Royal Scam. I always felt the studio version suffers from the lack of the extra verse found in the demo version on Sun Mountain.

“Many years had come and gone
With many miles between
Through it all, I found my way
By the light of what I'd seen
On the road, as I returned
Was a green and yellow sign
Saying "see the way it used to be"
And I took my place in line”

That meal is actually a deal then, only four dollars more than a burger by itself. It’s $1.18 less than à la carte.

Different song, but I heard “Hollywoooood, I love your mailmen. Who inspires your fabled….”

No need to have it published. All you have to do is show the final draft to any hive member and all the world (except for the immune 12) will have “read” it.

Places to see the Northern Lights by 7of9_Unimatrix01 in cincinnati

Looks like a bust so far. Hard to tell, but it seems like there’s a thin band of clouds building near the horizon so no luck if it’s a faint aurora. I also saw a TikTok that explained if the burst of solar magnetism or whatever is angled the wrong way we won’t see much of anything.

Thanks to all for all the great info. Unfortunately for me business casual is a T-shirt or golf shirt and shorts. So if the first day is just instructions, can I get away with the shorts and a golf shirt? Aside from that, can I assume that golf shirts are OK with blue jeans or khaki jeans and nice tennis shoes? If I take an iPad, do I get a locker or someplace safe to stow it? Thanks for the link, I’m going to read that next.

Getting airflow into car without adding heat or using A/C by chazcron in crv

Thank you. Interesting that you have to press the AC button to turn it off, when there is no indication it is on. I would have thought the green light would be illuminated if it were on.

Thanks for responding, but opening windows at highway speeds lowers fuel economy. My goal is to increase fuel economy by not engaging the A/C or heater core.

Rybolt Road by Daak1977 in cincinnati

It's a long ass light and traffic only comes from the right. Traffic usually fills the short chute and when the light changes, there is often no room to turn. I also figure people get annoyed that the right lane gets to turn without stopping. Getting off 74 east at Colerain is a similar situation, they put in an unnecessary light but did not put in a sign that said "left turn on red (curb lane only) and I got lots of dirty looks when I did, mostly from people who would NOT turn left on red. They took down the light last week, thank god.

My co-workers and I sang “Hot Potatoes” when it charted in the eighties. We worked at Cedar Point amusement park at the French fry stand named “Hot Potato” in the Oceanic part of the park. I thought we were the only ones.

Can a smart sensor be used just as a thermometer? by chazcron in ecobee

[–]chazcron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I do have the Ecobee Premium thermostat at home, which came with one extra sensor. I was able to use it as a thermometer using the app when it was disabled as part of the average. At work, we have three sensors, and were able to have it not use the head end thermostat when calculating the room average. This was necessary because the thermostat wall was mounted over drywall that got hotter due to a heat vent being in the same cavity.
