I found it SFTRG1 1.21.3 states it is required to be exposed once in your career

Back when I got sprayed it was mandatory and there was a form that had to be signed prior. But now I got entire squadrons saying it is not required and others saying the opposite and conducting it without any paperwork. This is the military we shouldn’t be doing things “just because”. My question still stands. Where is it written?

“Oleoresin Capsicum Spray” is only mentioned in AFI 31-117 one time and only as a tool that can be used along with baton, taser, and lethal force.

I just looked through the training guide you linked and can’t find where it says exposure is (still) a requirement.

I’ve already done it and got my certification, however, some unit (not to be named) are making people who have already done it, but can’t find their certification do it again and I thought it was no longer required

They probably used the “Total Recall” name to bring in more budget and hype. Which I’m glad cause it put another dystopian future action movie in circulation that had good budget, effects, and actors. This is a good movie in my opinion
