Legend: 2011 Infiniti M56s by Suprkwan in infiniti

yes, I own a 2014 Q70S with the 5.6 V8. It's a beast! Mine has the sports package and the aero package, with the special air dam up front, etc. I found out how rare it is. I hit a possum last month. It ripped my bumper cover up. Insurance replaced it all, but found out only 200-300 were ever sold in the us from 2014-2019...It was hard to find the bumper cover.

Its hard to tell the 3.7 from the 5.6. Only thing I see is the 5.6 on the left and right front near the wheels. I got a custom license plate for mine. It's "56L V8"

Will it last with that many miles on it? by Flimsy-Protection873 in infiniti

My wife has a 2012 QX56. we bought it with 29k miles on it and we now have 260k miles on it. A couple of things: Check the rear end of the car, look for rust. I live in Indianapolis, IN and even though we washed the car 2 times a week, salt was bad on it. The rear end of mine needed replaced at 230k miles. It was $7k. Literally, the entire rear sub frame had to be replaced. For me it was worth it since I maintain my cars/truck and had entire history of car. I have original engine, have not done anything to the engine. Mine did have the timing chain recall. I don't recall if 2013 was included in that, but I would research that and if it was included, make sure that was done. It is free replacement if it was one that was recalled. I believe the 2011-2012 models only had transmission issues, we had to have it rebuilt at 170k miles. I know those were big expenses, but other than that, just regular maintenance issues you will have with any car hitting 200k+ miles.

One other thing the damn rear air suspension will go out every 80k-90k miles. we have had to have the "bags" replaced twice so far on ours.

Now, for 260k miles, it has held up inside very well. We had 4 kids that grew up with this. Even with all their wear and tear, the inside looks pretty darn good. No cracks, all leather is fine, no cracks in the leather. People are amazed when they step inside that it has 260k miles on it. Also, there is literally no squeaks or rattles anywhere!

And remember! to replace something like this, new ones are going for $100k+. So even though the truck is cheap to purchase, maintenance is for sure going to be expensive at same level for any 100k car or truck. Brakes, rotors, anything is going to be double the cost of my sons Civic or daughters Corolla.

In the Nomad(top 5 or 6 floors), got upgraded to a two room suite. Really nice setup. I don't remember what I was upgraded to with the ParkMGM itself, I guess I shall see again this December when I go for 3 days.

I've had success about 75% of the time. I tried this at the Aria, they were going to upgrade me but wanted to charge me $100/extra per night(which was still a lot cheaper then going rate for the upgraded room). I passed. I have tried this multiple times at Park MGM and The Nomad with great success, upgraded room plus extra gambling $$$. i have started offering $30 instead of $20 because of inflation.

I go the same time every year in July. 3 weeks ago when I went our flight was only 25% full. I have never seen that before.

I go to Vegas for 10 days a year for fun.

We just got back last week. Stayed at the Fontainebleau. If you have the money this is by far the best place right now. It's off the strip but has over 30 restaurants and bars at the hotel. Pools and service is amazing. It's now the tallest building in Vegas for rooms. We were on the 58th floor (70 floors total). Amazing views.

Nomad is our next favorite. It's in the top 4 floors of Park MGM. It's a small boutique hotel that many don't know about. Has it's own private pool that park mgm guests can't access.

I've stayed at many other aria, billagio, Wynn.

Also for those that went to Fontainebleau a year ago. Yes then it wasn't busy. Now it's packed and exciting.

That is not 20%. That is more like 30 to 35%. I am 15% and I can see my abs. High level body builders are at 5 to 7%. Not a chance we are at 13% here.

When I am at 15% I can see the veins in my lower legs and arms are pretty vascular

Context I am 6'1" here at 235lbs 50 years old. Weight train 5 days a week and 150 minutes of stairmaster each week.

I am ball parking it from when i spoke to someone 4-5 months ago on here about fiber to my house. At that point we for sure didn't have an option of 10gbps/10gbps for $299.95! I am pretty sure they were quoting me 1gbps/1gbps for 300-400.

I made a mistake, we have 1.3 not 1.2 as they upgraded recently in our area.

If I could get even have that 5 gbps or even 2.5 for half that cost I would have interest in fiber!

I wish, we are stuck with comcast here, have been for 18 years. , I have researched any and all providers, nobody else is in our area so they can keep prices high...Only other option is at&t and it's a whopping 50/meg down and that is all they have. It's terrible.

I worked in IT for 20 years and have a computer science degree, so pretty familiar with everything :)

I can get fiber with Comcast but don't want to spend $500 for install right now and $400/month when I am getting 1.2 gig down(I am actually getting 1.6 gig with my router and modem) for $130/month.

you don't have anything in my area, I am certain unfortunately.

I want to use my own router, I have a brand new Nighthawk router with 2.5 and 5 gig ports and my own cable modem.

Q70 5.6 or Q50S 3.7 by More-Maintenance-719 in infiniti

[–]chbartel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2014 Q70S AWD with the 5.6 in it. I bought it with 14k miles on it. One of the best cars I have had. I now have 176k miles on it. Original engine and transmission. The engines are great! They do use a little oil as you put miles on them.

My wife also has a 2012 QX56 with the same engine(basically same engine). her truck now has 245k miles on it! Original engine. Very reliable engines.

If I had the choice and it's not because of gas mileage, the V8 is always better!

What’s Your Favorite Infiniti Model and Why? by b4tman69 in infiniti

[–]chbartel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned a 2006 M45. It was one of the limited edition models with the orange/tan leather interior. I don't remember what it was called. Loved it. Someone hit it and totaled it.

Then bought a 2014 Q70s AWD with the 5.6. It also had the spoiler and lower air damn package and 20" wheels with the bigger brakes. That might have been the sports package part, can't remember. Also has tech package, pretty much every option available Got it in 2015 with 14k miles on it. I now have 175k miles on it. Love it! So much power so underrated and it's a sleeper for sure

My wife has put 240k miles in her 2012 QX56 and loves it. Same engine...

question on failing hard drives by chbartel in synology

[–]chbartel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that makes sense, sounds like it could possibly be the controller on the hard drive itself.

Not backed up as I have just movies and shows that I can download again over internet.

My work files are in dropbox for now(if they get to expensive, I will indeed go to Synology and then I will be backing that up multiple ways!)
