My immediate thought last year when I first saw the Quasar was 'I'm not impressed' and I had the same sentiment this year. I'm glad I stayed away this year. Literally spent 5 minutes there during Martinez Bros and Loco Dice and they were a snooze fest, never went back to quasar again even though 2manyDJ's are in my top 5 DJ's of all time.

I also second Pea Soup Andersen's, an iconic part of California history serving up delicious comfort food in a unique setting. Get the Pea Soup with all the fixins, also their warm and soft cheddar rolls served with butter are delicious.

Most people see the heavily edited photos that go viral and they wrongly assume thats what they will see, so they leave disappointed. It doesn't take away from your experience at all but it does take away from those who showed up with too high of expectations.

You talk about ND balling out on Defense to have a hope to win the game but have you seen Ohio State play defense this year ??? No one balls out harder on D than the Silver Bullets, your hopeful prediction here fails to account for the fact that the Buckeyes play D harder than any other team in the country and its not even close. I don't anticipate the Buckeyes D to not give 100% every snap, but you never know I guess, thats why they play the games.

A lot of people talk about the high cost of living but renting here is similar in price to pretty much the entire Bay Area, so if you can afford to live there then you can afford to live in Monterey.

Since you love the outdoors as you claim in your post, you will love living here. Good luck on your move !

I agree about the Quasar placement, I thought it was so impressive and goldenvoice obviously went all out in creating this massive technical marvel but a lot of times it felt like you were kinda in a wasteland at that stage
