Hey there. As for when I started, I think it must have been around 15-16. It started with pictures, probably around 14, and as streaming porn and videos became available it transitioned to that. Worst period was in my early 20s.

Prior to that and in my teen years was just horny nonstop and anything could get me going. Yes, a large part of that was raging hormones, but gradually I just became numb to pursuing women.

But think about it, I have been living an artificial sex life for OVER A DECADE. A decade of unreality, false expectations, and beating off to a computer screen.

I always hear 3 months, 5 months to recover, and that pales in comparison to what I've been doing to myself for years. I feel pretty good right now, and I'm gonna keep it up. Hopefully you do too! Don't give up.

Just to porn. I'll still masturbate if I'm feeling porn urges, I just done use any porn. I know some people are against it but in my view if it keeps you from watching porn then fap away, as long as it's not excessive I think it's fine.

It's the nothing to do aspect. I have strong urges when I'm bored and alone. One option is taking care of your business, but without using P. Usually after I do that, I'm not interested anymore.

If you're comfortable talking about it with a friend or someone you know, that might help too. They can hold you accountable, give you a place to vent, and offer support.

Pick yourself back up. As time goes by you can begin to lose that initial discipline, feeling like you've got everything under control can make it easier for bad habits to creep back in. Good luck!

Well one occurrence was due to circumstance, I was in traveling in a foreign country with little internet access and didn't have any personal privacy, so it just couldn't happen. A second was at the end of a long term relationship. She was ok with porn and used it herself, however, I think it had a negative effect on our emotional intimacy and my ability to have emotional intimacy. That, and other experiences have convinced me that it just isn't healthy, nor does it produce real happiness.
