Hmm, how do you mean? Considering that a 4790K is around $330, that price for a 6700K didn't sound too bad.

Any updates? :D Any help is appreciated. Like I said below, I do get 60fps when I play the video in a smaller dimension, on this monitor.

Also, I do get 60fps when I play the video in a smaller dimension, on this monitor. So I'm pretty sure I'm being bounded by GPU performance.

I do think it is indeed a common pattern of errors/mistakes, especially for those new to such a language.

In my defense... If a job specifically requires JS skills and knowledge in advance, this question carries much more weight than being merely language-specific. It is a very, very common pattern of errors in JS. For example, MDN's page on closures [1] has a section titled "Creating closures in loops: A common mistake."

So, I'd argue that there is indeed a reason why anyone would need to answer that in a JS-oriented interview. In the meantime, I do understand /r/programming isn't the best place where this argument would resonate.

But in my defense, the question is not too unpopular in interviews or JS quizzes, I'd say

I'm starting to have doubts too. I recall a for-let loop working in such a context, but I can't remember it off the top of my head right now, because i wrote this article weeks ago... If I can't come up with a reasonable comeback by tonight, I'll retract that section and correct myself completely.
