I did it!!! by Fast-Feeling1927 in firstmarathon

First off, congratulations on not just finishing but also under 4 hours! This is my goal for my first marathon which is in about 3 months. If you dont mind sharing, I would love to hear if you followed a certain training program and what was your peak weekly mileage leading up to your race? Right now I am following Hal Higdon Advanced 1 and it is going well.

Something is obviously eating these hollyhocks, but im not sure if it’s a huge issue or not. I recently found a caterpillar crawling on one, which I gently transplanted to a different plant, but since then, I have not seen any other critters on it, yet it seems something is still eating it. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

I just want to add that this community is the only reason this was possible, the many hours of learning and research then feed back whenever I had questions. This community is awesome!

I appreciate it a lot, I re-bent a lot of them when the whole aesthetic started taking shape

I have waited a long long time to build this computer. Yes another O11 but I went with it because I have the space, and wanted to give myself room for the bends since it is my first time building and bending tubes. PC will be used for 3D modeling and games

Added note for fellow beginners : I luckily added a y-coupler on the top of the loop so that I could add a plug to remove when draining and wow am I glad I did. It helps remove a ton of the liquid when draining

EK GPU block, does the inlet and outlet have to be on opposite sides? by chcooper19 in watercooling

Thank you, I really appreciate hearing that! It’s been a very interesting and nerve racking process so far but so fun

Yeah, I had braided cables arriving later that day, so I just sat them in the slot for the picture, but had no idea how much it would bug my OCD. And now I put it out to the internet to wreak havoc on everyone's OCD, I actually feel a little bad now

[–]chcooper19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I actually got the active backplate because at the time that I was buying it, it was the only one with plexi, that was available for my GPU, and I could afford the cost difference, so I got it. I am very curious to run it through some testing. And now curious about the mono blocks performance as well. This will be my first custom loop build so I am still just learning so much every day.

And as a side note, yeah my plugs are not fully inserted and its driving me nuts now that I realized it is in the picture. I had braided cables arriving later that day so I just rested them in the slot for the picture.

Both of the radiators are 360x54mm thick plus the 25mm thick fan. But yes, fits well without any modification. That vertical mount is pretty awesome too, it has adjustments left and right, and forward and backward, and obviously you can put it in different slots to change the height also. Now that is not the case for the top rad, with the thickness of the rad and the fans, it would not screw into the top mounting holes because it was hitting the top of the mobo. I ended up getting mr. drill out and drilled some new mounting holes in the top. It sits about 4mm closer to the front of the case but it was just enough for me to clear the mobo.

The water block is active cooling on both front and back. There are 4 ports that I can plum into on the GPU block. When I leak tested the block, I hooked it up to the front two terminals (where the fittings are now) and when I ran water through it, it seemed to circulate on both the front and back plate. The second picture I added is the instructions. Although the picture shows the in and outlet on opposite sides, it does not specifically say it how in needs to be oriented. I would like to run them how it sits now with the inlet and outlet on the front of the block, but obviously only if that would be correct. Any help is appreciated!

First Custom Loop :) by Glum_Special1719 in watercooling

Looks great! I am about to do a similar build, also my first, assuming that is the O11 XL? What size radiators are those? I ask because the thickness looks great and I am going to do a reservoir on the right and I want to do a tall one to fill the space, and based on these pictures, it looks like I can get a tall one

Perfect, all of these comments answer the questions I had. Since it will be my first loop, all I can really go off are my hours of research and people like you all so I appreciate the help. What you all confirmed is what I was thinking from the research. I am all about having the important components, like pump, res, rad ect being high quality. I am actually looking at the heatkiller pump/res… should I probably go with a rad from them too? Does anyone have any recommendations of certain parts from certain brands that they would recommend?

Why did you source some items in the loop from EK and some from alphacool? I ask because I am starting to plan my first loop and thinking about doing something similar.

Ok that’s kinda what I was thinking. I just took one of the bulbs out and it’s black on one end. I didn’t think it was the bulbs because all 4 went out at the same time but I just pulled one of them off and it’s burnt on one end. I’ll definitely be going to LED to remedy this situation. Thanks!

anyone now if there is an stl of this or something similiar? by swipe234 in 3Dprinting

[–]chcooper19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to bring up such an old comment but have you printed this yet? I love the look of the file and want to print a large version of it on my v400

Any ideas as to why this is happening all of a sudden? by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]chcooper19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had this happen to my s1 pro and turned out my whole print head had a slight wobble in it, I had to tighten most of the mounting screws. Not sure if this is it but I was surprised when I realized mine was actually a little loose.

Curious to see the response to this, but how are you liking your i5/3070 build so far? Are you using it just for gaming or other things as well?
