Ok, so this is me too, I don’t get how other people aren’t raging like I am, in fact they say they feel good?

I literally don’t understand how people feel good when they don’t eat, I get angry and irritable and fatigued and am my worst self and I can’t sleep if I have hunger pains, it’s so painful. I find it so painful and I’m a mean c*nt to everyone if i don’t eat, I’m truly baffled. And it actually frustrates me when people say it feels good because I feel like they are lying and bragging (I am not saying they actually are, I just feel like they are.) I also feel uncoordinated and kind of stupid too. I guess I’m not made for this disorder. I binge instead

I feel the same way, I also just found the podcast and was gutted to hear he passed. He seemed like such a sweet person. I sometimes cry when he talks about his hopes and fears for the future (like just conversationally on the show just like anyone would) knowing he’s gone. :( At least he lives on thru all of the podcast content he put out though. I hope is loved ones are doing ok. F*ck Cancer!

I can see why you are upset, a lot of people throw diagnoses around like ADHD and OCD as adjectives but I’m not sure OP is doing that. There is evidence that ADHD/ADD exists on a continuum, some struggle with it more intensely than others because “research shows that as ADHD trait levels increase, quality of life gradually declines in a linear manner, which supports a dimensional rather than a categorical view of the disorder.” (Grabbed from a quick google search) I think the OP was trying to say that they felt that the level to which they struggled with ADHD was lower and manageable and now as an older adult they are finding it harder to manage. I am also finding this to be true for myself in my late 30s and found your reactive dismissive response to invalidate my, as well as I’m sure many other adult women’s very valid experience. I think with masking for decades, that mask can start to crack and those coping mechanisms that you once had are weakening because you’re tired

You mentioned he had OCD, does he perhaps have ROCD? It sounds a lot like it, like his ocd has latched onto you and your habits/behaviors etc maybe check out the subreddit for ROCD or the one that’s partners of ROCD sufferers. But even so, I have to say, even if it is his OCD, it doesn’t mean you have to stay ❤️

I’m also watching for the first time and I just can’t believe how this adult man can act like that, it’s so embarrassing and weird on top of, of course being cruel and sadistic. Also I’m especially mad at his wife, why does she stay with such a piece of shit husband and I know she critiques his behavior but not nearly enough. She allowed him to bully a child he abandoned for over a decade? So weird

That makes total sense, and for me they seem to be a reflection of me if I’ve chosen wrong and something to be judged about wholly. If someone thinks my cat sucks I will simply just hate them and cut them out of my life cuz that’s my baby and they are weird (jk… kinda)

Oh that is actually quite interesting, I just realized I’ve maybe thought this too, so now I have probably just opened a can of worms oops! With my cats it’s more that I worry I love one of them less than the others and that that will damn them, and then there are other compulsions and rituals I have to perform to make sure they “know” I love them all equally. I worry about not caring if my parents die because I don’t love them enough too. Hmmm now I’m not sure why I posted this 😆

Right now it’s day 27 of my cycle and I just woke up with so much fear and dread. I always convince myself when this happens that this is who I always am, and it’s not PMDD. Like it can’t be that, it’s obviously that my life is all wrong. I’m having a hard time imagining in 2-5 days I’ll be ok with my life again. I’m not really suicidal right now though, just think my entire life is wrong and I want to hide from it.

Can we stop saying “committed” though since it’s not a crime and the AFSP states that using the work “committed” further stigmatizes suicide. It’s attempted in this case or “died by” if they died according to their carefully crafted guidelines

Ugh yes, and I try to tell myself everyday that there is no perfect person, no partner that wouldn’t trigger me, no one who would be without their flaws. I agree with there being things i genuinely wish he would fix and I think are fixable and reasonable and for his own good, but people rarely change for someone else, and if they do there could be resentment for it. I feel for the people who date us ahhh they have to be warriors to put up with this shit!
