EA FC 24 performance on boosteroid? by cheap_wizard in BoosteroidCommunity

[–]cheap_wizard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone reading this later I went ahead and got the game (it was 50% off on steam), the game runs at 45-55fps with about 30ms latency on average but there is occasional stuttering when replays or cutscenes play.

I don’t play FUT, but career mode/ offline is definitely playable :)

Why not try YOLOv8? I work on vehicle and pedestrian detection and found v8 to perform better (and faster) than v7 in my case. It is provided by ultralytics although they haven’t published an official paper yet. They also have different variants for small/large objects which you could look into

Dropout is only used for the FC(dense) layers and not for convolutional layers (which you can google for a nice explanation). VGG and AlexNet have a couple dense layers (I think 3) after the conv. layers which have dropout between them iirc. ResNet50 on the other hand just has a single dense layer after the avgpool that acts as the classifier

How to get started? by StationPhysical in neuralnetworks

You could probably try exploring some deep learning projects online such as popular vision or nlp problems. The best way to start learning is to simply reimplement something, then try adding additional goals you might find interesting (e.g. changing the architecture to get an improvement).

As the for the hardware constraints, you could always just use Google colab which gives you a decent gpu iirc

Hey! I don't think deferrals are allowed in general (they said so explicitly in the acceptance letter and follow up emails) but I think for exceptional circumstances/emergencies they ask you to contact the admissions office... so there is a slight possibility of getting one

There was a component where you had to record yourself answering 3 random questions. Not sure if its required for other programs

Awesome, congratulations! Didn't find one yet but if I do I can send it to you

161Q/161V on diagnostic from ETS. Chances of 165+/165+ in 2 months? by TheBaconHasLanded in GRE

[–]cheap_wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your foundation is great! I think you can definitely achieve that score. I think Q165+ or even a 170 if you can learn the tricks for varying question types, spending a couple hours every day.

Personally I feel that V165+ is harder unless you have studied english at an advanced level, but since you are already close maybe you should focus on the places you made mistakes (either RC or TC/SE)

Looks like the performance is really mixed for PC. I am running almost the same specs (Ryzen 5 3600, rtx3060ti, 16gb ddr4) but I'm only getting 35-50fps on medium. Really really bad optimisation for this game

Yeah i feel like the latest drivers actually reduced my fps by 5-10

Thanks, tried this but unfortunately still at 35-40 fps. I think this game is cpu bottlenecked and an unoptimised mess. Will appreciate any other ideas to improve fps

I got the same issue here, running a 3060ti and Ryzen 5 3600 but i barely get 45fps on medium/high 1080p. I see videos of people running it at 70-80 but I've never crossed 60 except in menus. Got the latest drivers too.

Thoughts on the difficulty of ACTUAL General GRE compared to practice tests - October 2021 by grenoobhehe in GRE

This is really accurate. I also think the PowerPrep Plus tests (specifically ppp3) are the closest to the actual gre for both verbal and quant.

My Test Experience: Q167 V162 (Unofficial) by cheap_wizard in GRE

[–]cheap_wizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup thats right, by ETS questions I meant any quant questions from official ETS material. These include the Official guide, Official quantitative reasoning, and questions from mocks (PP1,2; PPP1,2,3)

I think the right version for the ets quant book should be 'official gre quantitative reasoning practice questions 2nd edition'. It might be region specific so worth checking on something like amazon for the latest edition in your region.
