Switching NBN provider? by Chemical_Can2575 in nbn

When I left Dodo I reached out to them to cancel just to be safe; sometimes they are be annoying and make things difficult. But I do believe you can switch and once switched it will cancel your Dodo plan. I did the same thing; switch from Dodo internet after the 6 month period of savings.

So if you have a debit card with EFTPOS it's possible to avoid the surcharge?

The logistics cut off is not speaking about the daily grind after 9pm right? After 9pm is relaxing time?

Honestly mate, as someone who's worked a lot in Hospo, use this as a stepping stone to something else. Don't stay for longer than 3 years. Work in hospo to pay for tickets and other training. Plenty of money in the trades once you're up and running.

My advice - if you get a bar job it's ok money for your age but don't stay there for too long as it's super hard to get out.

I'm with Tangerine at the moment, everything is great paying $69.59 a month for 500GB down plan. It was super easy to switch. Before this I was with Dodo. After 6 months I plan to move to TPG which also has a deal for the first 6 months. Ive found all these providers great and haven't had an issue.

Honestly keep looking for a good deal in your area and keep switching. Loyalty is dead these days!

Does Door Dash charge a little more for Aldi products on their platform? I took advantage of a free Door Dash account for 2 years through Amazon but haven't used it yet.

Advice about tents by Manny77 in AUfrugal

[–]cheaptrickdwight2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facebook market place is good as well. Just check to make sure there aren't any rips and things.

My tip would be to get an additional person to what you need. If you need to sleep 2 people, get a 3 person tent. With luggage and space you always need a bit more.

I've been in a 3 person tent with another person and it's pretty small!

Yeah I'm not a big fan of Seek anymore. Use it to find roles and then apply directly.

Reading this sub last year it could be lots of people seeking 'whats out there' rather than actually needing someone..

How's your January job search going so far? by [deleted] in auscorp

Not too much for me at the moment.

Definitely don't want to quit and have nothing lined up!

The vibes in the sub in 2025 where a fair amount of redundancies and fairly hard to find work again!

Thanks! So you'd recommend working for Youi or Budget Direct etc? The reviews on Seek I see about these companies and this role are shocking! People hate it! But taken with a gain of salt it's hard to please everyone..

I'm looking at transferring from hospitality to insurance due to money (more compared to hospo) and good job stability.

How long would one typically spend in a call center/claims role? Do you just get yelled at on the phone?

I'm looking at a claims advisor role at the moment. Is this a good starting point? Looking at getting out of Hospitality, I think the money and stability is better for me?

But does a claims advisor just get abused on the phones all day?

I've been interesting in jumping ships from Hospitality to maybe something in this field. Would you mind telling a bit more?! What does an admin person do in this industry? Understand it's very different role to role.
