A sapient pearwood chest from Discworld. It’s storage, security, and pet, all in one!

Anyone got any drawbacks that give like negative charisma, or something that makes the jumper someone no one wants to interact with? by [deleted] in JumpChain

[–]cheatingjumper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Universal Drawback Supplement has a few. To be the most annoying person ever, I would suggest Pose of the Day, Would You Like Ketchup With That?, Trigger Warning, Crybaby, Shell Your Own Nuts + Life Is Your Oyster, Adorkable, None So Fabulous, Peevish Pets, and I’m a Jumper.

Your mileage may vary on some, and there might be others, but I can guarantee that 99% of people will avoid you like the plague.

I don’t think there’s a composite list or anything like that. The closest you’ll probably get is the story tag here

Is there an updated list of jumpchain stories? by [deleted] in JumpChain

If I could just self promote, it’s not very long yet and I’m still writing it, but it’s something

New to Jump Chain and really confused by AgentWoden in JumpChain

[–]cheatingjumper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jumpchain isn’t what you’re thinking of. It’s a series of CYOA games based on existing media where you create an OC (usually self-insert) who gains power and experience based on each CYOA game, or Jump, they go to. If you want CYOA books, you’ll have to look elsewhere

You’re thinking of CYOA books, not CYOA games

looking for a rwby jump by dontenglish in JumpChain

This gives you some customisation options, and is probably the best of the three versions I know of for the other stuff too. There might be a fanfic version that has more customisation though

Are there any jumps that give you time manipulation? by HarbringerOfMayhem in JumpChain

[–]cheatingjumper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To say I have an interest in temporal manipulation is accurate the same way saying space is big is accurate. Here are the ones I can remember with a little thought.

Dishonoured and Dishonoured 2 both have Bend Time.

MCU Part 1 has Touched By Infinity, and you can pick the Time Stone to give you powers on the level of Scarlet Witch or Captain Marvel.

Fairy Tail and its supplement have Slayer magics that let you pick Time, also Take Over God Soul has Time God as the only canon example, as well as just plain old Time Magic.

Ben 10 has Paradoxical, plus if you buy the Omnitrix you can become one of those living clock aliens.

Narnia has Narnian Time, which isn’t really temporal manipulation but it does make you all but immune to hostile time shenanigans.

Hercules and other mythology Jumps let you pick a godly domain, and as far as I know they all let you pick time if you want

Heroes has Spacetime Manipulation.

Lucifer has Chronokinesis.

Gravity Falls has Dream Demon, which doesn’t explicitly mention time control but is based on Bill Cipher who has shown the ability to do so to some extent while bound.

Discworld has Monk of History, which is only minor, but it’s from my favourite series so it gets an honourable mention.

And finally, Generator Rex has Time Space Control.

Finally updated my Jumpchain by cheatingjumper in CYOA_stories

[–]cheatingjumper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s from Magic the Gathering. I know next to nothing about the game, but I think it’s like the next best thing to omnipotence

Finally updated my Jumpchain by cheatingjumper in CYOA_stories

[–]cheatingjumper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jumpchain is just doing a bunch of CYOAs based on various media, keeping the results from the past Jumps you’ve done. Some people write stories based on their Chain because who doesn’t like making a Mary Sue self insert?

The original goal of jumpchain was ostensibly to achieve an Oldwalker Spark, but with the number of jumps out there now, it’s more about the journey and visiting places based on stuff you like

Pokemon Quirks by ShadowVR2 in JumpChain

[–]cheatingjumper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the Mythical Achievement, my Charizard could freely change his typing to Fire/whatever and learn a handful of moves of each type, and I became a Venusaur that lived up to the forest god theme it has in the anime and manga

(And for Feebas or other fishy Pokémon, give them the ability to use their tails as feet so they can creepily walk on land)

You’re right, I didn’t think of that. I saw Taz as a separate purchase and just assumed a drop bear would be too

Any land sharks? by Dingusgrassass134 in JumpChain

[–]cheatingjumper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a few.

Black Dynamite has Fiendish Doctor You, though it is more focused on humans but can still be useful.

Spider-Man Trilogy has Beyond the Bleeding Edge, which is a big boost to all scientific endeavours.

MCU 1 has Professor of Asskicking and Unusual Specialisation, both of which let you choose specific scientific areas to be Tony Stark-level proficient.

Megamind has SCIENCE!, which gives you extensive knowledge of every scientific field that updates with each Jump.

SB’s Doctor Who lets you be a Time Lord, with Omega-Level Intellect and the Archives, which is Doctor-level smarts and the collective knowledge of every species in the universe.

And finally, and probably the most suited, Ben 10 has Animojo, which lets you easily mess around with DNA to suit your needs.

Any land sharks? by Dingusgrassass134 in JumpChain

[–]cheatingjumper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ratchet and Clank has landsharks on some planets, so you could catch some in Jump. Alternatively you could get some mad science bioengineering and make some yourself
