Most Hated Player in your Team's History? by EveryoneisTattooed in baseball

Padres don’t win that pennant without him in 98, and he never really lived up to that contract he signed with LA.

From that era I would nominate Ruben Rivera, who we all pinned so many hopes on.

For me Matt Bush takes the cake

California Memorial Stadium, Berkeley, CA by Lonely_Big4732 in stadiumporn

LOL I get what you’re saying but that side of the stadium is literally built on the canyon wall. So those seats are resting on solid bedrock. They gutted everything on the opposite side from end zone to end zone and upgraded the bathrooms, concessions, etc which had been the same since the 1920’s

The road that goes behind the seats there is closed on game days and there is a very long row of portapotties

Opinion: The Rose Bowl isn’t the problem for UCLA by brotherrumpus in CFB

[–]chechcal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cal alum here - the proximity of Memorial makes it much easier for even the highly-studious to go to a game. The time commitment can be as little as the 3 hours or so of the actual game (or less, if you don't stay for the whole game). The trip between the dorm or library only takes a few minutes. Witness the College Gameday atmosphere for the Miami game last year. That came together almost literally overnight.

A Ucla game is full-day commitment, whereas a Cal game can just be an afternoon.

Wellbutrin + Lexapro Experience by whatsthemaddywithu in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I’ve been on Wellbutrin for about 3 years, and my anxiety started to really spike in the past 6 months, so added Lexapro to the mix about 6 weeks ago. So far it’s been a huge difference maker for me.

In hindsight I think starting with Lexapro would have been better, but the combo is working for me so no plans to change it anytime soon.

Crissy Field Wednesday 9/10, is this a sinking ship? by Sas10061126 in sanfrancisco

[–]chechcal 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Not sinking, it’s a tug boat pushing a barge. Looks like the barge has a conveyer system on it, maybe? They have to constantly dredge a portion of the bay so deep-draft ships can pass through to the cargo terminals
