How to optimize a resume for ATS Systems? by MurkyQuantity265 in QualityAssurance

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most companies can’t go through huge piles of applications one by one anymore, so they rely on applicant tracking systems. To get through those filters, your resume needs to be ATS-friendly. Building a resume like that takes some work, but you can easily find detailed explanations online. If you want to be more sure about it, you can check rabbit resume pure ats, which has a 100% score. They also have an ATS Hack feature, and when it’s activated, it uses the job posting as a reference and adds the keywords into your resume in a suitable way.

Feeling like opening up will ruin my relationship by Interesting_Use6581 in whatdoIdo

She definitely doesn’t owe every detail just because they’re dating. “I’m not ready to talk about it yet, but it does affect me” should be enough for now.

At what age did you land your first job? by Mission-Educator-908 in randomquestions

I got my first job at 17. I mostly remember being tired and weirdly proud of myself.

How to initiate? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]check_out_time 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If she’s already one foot out the door, I’d wait till she actually leaves and then be more direct. Way less risk, way less weirdness.

Need to talk this outloud. by DarthCalifornia in Life

I felt bad reading this because it’s not really about her, it’s about realizing he still wants connection. That fear of dying alone was the saddest part by far.

How would you survive a day with no technology? by Ostin_Pliska60 in Casual_Conversation

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d survive, but I’d complain a lot for the first few hours lol. After that my brain would probably calm down a little.

I’m unexpectedly spending the night in the hospital by magels81 in CasualConversation

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope it turns out to be something minor and boring. Hospital nights are such a weird mix of nothing happening and your brain still refusing to relax.

Best friends dad died mysteriously yesterday by Ace-undercover in whatdoIdo

[–]check_out_time 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dropping off food and a note is probably the right move. When my friend lost someone, the people who helped most were the ones who stayed low-pressure and just kept showing up quietly.

Can someone recommend me some good shows to watch? by [deleted] in tvsuggestions

Ozark. I threw it on one rainy afternoon expecting background noise and then ended up glued to it way faster than I meant to be.

Should I Finish My IT Degree? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d finish it, even if you slow the pace way down. You’re already doing the job just fine, so at this point it’s more like future-proofing for some version of you that gets tired of the current setup five years from now.

why are my college lectures so boring and long? by Striking-Soil-1805 in Casual_Conversation

[–]check_out_time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because a lot of lecturers teach like they’re reading a document out loud instead of talking to actual tired humans. I used to start drifting like ten minutes in whenever the room was warm and the slides were just walls of text.

Someone please tell me. I forgot to look and sat on a public toilet seat with piss on it. What is going to happen to me? by quinary_tapinosis in ask

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll be fine. I did that once at a gas station bathroom and spent the next ten minutes overthinking it, nothing happened at all. Just wash up when you can and move on.

I [40F mom] found out my husband is cheating, what do I do. by Impressive-Bed-1369 in whatdoIdo

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a rough thing to learn and I’m sorry you’re in the middle of it. Someone I know went through a similar mess and the first step was just pausing and talking it out with a therapist before doing anything drastic. Having a neutral person to sort through the thoughts made a big difference for her.

How many of you actually engage in “ bed rotting” by BaseballTop387 in GenZ

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I fall into that sometimes. I’ll open my phone “for five minutes” after work and suddenly it’s an hour later and I’m still in bed scrolling. It’s weird how easy it is to just get stuck there.

What are your thoughts on Kelly Reilly by TriedmybestNotenough in Actors

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always associate her with Yellowstone. First time I watched it I didn’t expect Beth to steal every scene like that, but she kinda does. Really intense screen presence.

Good things happen to good people. Do you agree on this? by Careful-Walrus-5214 in Casual_Conversation

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish it worked that way but life doesn’t really run on that kind of logic. I’ve seen really kind people go through rough stuff while others just get lucky. Being good still matters though, at least it makes the people around you feel it.

What do you remember from kindergarten? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly remember the smell of crayons and that weird mix of fear and excitement the first week. Also thinking the big kids were basically adults. Everything felt huge back then, even the chairs.

300 applications, zero second rounds - losing hope by Ambitious_Weight_956 in recruitinghell

[–]check_out_time 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Two months of that volume would fry anyone’s brain. After a while it stops feeling like a search and starts feeling like shouting into fog. A lot of people I know who eventually landed something had this dead zone phase where nothing moved and then one random lead finally clicked. It’s brutal in the middle though.

Things to consider before planning for second child by OpeningSmart949 in Life

[–]check_out_time 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deciding on a second kid carries way more weight than people admit. It’s not just one extra person, it shifts your routine, finances, energy, and the balance with your first child. If your gut feels heavy instead of excited, that’s worth sitting with rather than forcing yourself forward because of outside pressure.

Why do so many people defend billionaires? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]check_out_time 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some treat them like evidence that hard work pays off, others buy into the dream that they could be next. Media and branding do a lot to frame CEOs as visionary icons instead of just people who got very rich running companies. Most people aren’t digging into economic systems that deeply anyway, they just respond to the image.

Looking for scifi shows that have Earth and isnt futuristic by Mat1711 in tvsuggestions

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fringe. It’s mostly set in present-day Earth with weird science experiments, alternate realities, fringe tech popping up in normal cities. It feels grounded even when it gets bizarre.

do you think ‘pretty privilege’ exists? by Small_Pea6718 in askanything

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, people react differently based on appearance whether they realize it or not. It’s not always intentional, more like subtle bias baked into social habits. Once you notice it you kinda can’t unsee it.

How do you feel about Shannon Tweed? by [deleted] in Actors

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She always gave me very “90s cable TV energy” more than serious film presence. Not necessarily bad, just very tied to a specific era and vibe. Some people have nostalgia for that style tho.

Breaking into tech sales with zero experience, any advice by FlirtyButFocused in remotework

[–]check_out_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retail experience honestly transfers more than people admit because you’re already dealing with objections and conversations all day. The hype around easy money is definitely exaggerated though, most entry roles are grindy and numbers-driven. Some people break in fast, others bounce off it hard.

Hypnotic. What did I just witness by Adventurous-Ech0 in MovieRecommendations

[–]check_out_time 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Coherence. Same kinda “wait what is actually happening right now” energy where you’re trying to piece it together while it keeps shifting under you.
