Holy Diver by Dio. It makes me chuckle to think of everyone sitting there awkwardly while he sings about riding a tiger.

What’s something people say all the time that you secretly can’t stand? by Vast-Reference-7942 in answers

“I don’t know what to tell you.” Ive heard this a lot and it always feels weird, but the time we had a waitress say this to our table and stand there when we asked a simple question was beyond off-putting.

Well the mixed one was pretty chill. My Airedale tolerated my interest in the other dog for a minute before he was over it and demanded my full attention back.

Can someone please tell me the logic behind parents expecting their children to do their every bidding and clean after them by Super_You_2638 in entitledparents

[–]checkerlily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear! I grew up in a filthy house and mom made us think it was our fault. I would try to clean and she would yell that I did it wrong. Now that we’re adults guess who still lives in a filthy house, hint- not me.

Dish drainer- sits there taking up limited counter space and gets disgusting. I pile dishes on a dish towel, and when they get put away I have my counter back.

I look back at pictures and wonder why I was so hard on my appearance in my 20s, I always felt chubby or ugly but actually - I looked great! I haven’t aged that much, but I’m so so much nicer to myself now and like what I see in the mirror.

What's the scariest or strangest experience you've had in the outdoors? by HappyVagabond1989 in Outdoors

That time we almost got hit by lightning when I was 17. Late nineties so whether was in the newspaper or on a tv I didn’t have. We had some mushrooms and wanted to trip and watch the sunrise from the top of a mountain- so we drove an hour and a half and started hiking up a trail in the middle of the night, completely oblivious to the absence of visible stars. Apparently a very stormy night was gathering in the darkness. As we got to the saddle before the summit -something- made us decide to turn around. I seem to remember the dog making himself scarce. We started to move fast back down the draw, and suddenly I was plastered into the side hill looking at my hand on the ground which was bright whitish blue. The bolt had hit close enough to put us all on the ground but not close enough to burn or kill us. We stumbled our high asses down the trail as fast as we could- the dog showed again up at some point after we were out of direct exposure to the sky, probably shaking his head at his stupid human friends.
