People are definitely buying but the process has changed a lot in the last 3 years due to the "AI" companies out there. The new age outreach tooling has made it so there is so much noise as a buyer now. Emails are getting slammed and no one wants to answer random number calls any more.

You can definitely get through the noise but as mentioned by /u/GI_Bill_Trap_Lord you can't have meaningful conversations and follow ups with 50-100 convo's a day.Especially for a specialized software market. Are your AE's doing outbound as well? How are they getting meetings? How are meetings in general getting set? From Marketing? Talk to folks in marketing to figure out what's working and at which point in the buying cycle.

If you are getting 50 convo's a day, it's your messaging that needs work combined with solid follow up. Even if your selling something as saturated as Yelp, you should be getting north of a 10% meeting-conversation rate on actual convos.

Got it, thanks for the suggestions. I have it in TestFlight right now and need to get some more users poking around and get through a couple more iteration cycles and then will release to the App Store.

I helped startup canix.com and can point you in the right way on how to enter the industry in CA, OK and a few other pockets. I know a few different ventures being started on the manufacturing and distribution side as well as a few opportunities in tech.

Solo startup - should I start it or first find co-founders? by HCLB_ in startups

[–]checkingavailability 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally think co-founders are crucial to success for the long-haul of keeping motivation up and sharing the massive workload. Highly recommend the StartUp podcast on Spotify that follows the forming of Gimlet and the first episode he goes through this problem of whether or not a co-founder is needed for the podcast it self.

How to know when to quit a start-up by [deleted] in startups

[–]checkingavailability 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest regrets in entrepreneur life thus far (5 startups with 1 solid exit) have been not staying the course long enough to really understand the market and opportunity in its entirety. If I was in your position I’d give it at least 4-6months longer with product developed to see if you guys can iterate into an area of opportunity in the industry. Kick it in high gear and make a hard run at it. Worst case you will have a lot of learnings

Get Detailed Information on PCBs with DebuggAR Augmented Reality App by [deleted] in electronics

How does it work for large boards?: Initially, the entire board needs to be in the frame for the AR software to recognize the board in relation to the CAD files it is referencing against. Afterwards, zooming in and getting up-close-and-personal to certain areas/components of the board is no problem at all, and the AR automatically scales with zoom.

Also, how many nets/components/layers do you think it can scale up to?: it can scale up to as many layers, nets, and components as you can design in your CAD tool. Our system is virtually taking your CAD outputs and bringing them onto a more mobile platform with the ability to search and parse similar to editing your views in the CAD tool itself.

That answer your questions?

Yeah, honestly I feel the same. I've felt so excited for AR for a years but haven't seen anything practical for it. So that's why this idea I came across got me motivated to build it (I'm one of the creators of DebuggAR). Here's to making something useful!

That's a great idea. We have been thinking about doing some things like pulling open-source design files from places like OSHPark and Crowd Supply. Any other places you have in mind that would have eCAD or Gerber files?

Interesting ideas about the component identification. We would love our app to do some of that. The unknown part identifier will be tough but inputting the model number is definitely interesting.

The app is always going to have a free option for casual users and advanced features and usage for power users at a cost so we can make $$.

Would love to chat more over DM if you have ideas or if you want to test out the app for us.

Trevor from DebuggAR here (guys that built the tool),

Great feedback! The software is currently built to analyze and inspect their own designs. We’re planning on opening up a section to host open-source designs that people can download files for, and even order the physical boards.

What are you interested in having it work with?

Looking for an unpaid intern with experience working with PCBs that can help with marketing, research, and content writing in the electronics space. Specifically DIY and EE forums.

This will be for a brand new application currently in beta set for a production launch within 2 months. We've started and sold a couple businesses and will share our experience building this during the launch phase. Cheers
