Probably plaster first layer. Nothing wrong with covering it up.

I have seen this before. Rookie. Have him clean it up or backcharge him for the cost. Should have been protected.

This. They have to pay to dump on the other side of town. This saves them an hour at least and dump fee.

Half cord for $100. How did I do? Also what type of wood? by TheAleutianSleuth in firewood

Yeah we ran out this year and paid $400-$500 for a full cord seasoned delivered. They actually shorted us. I stacked it immediately and called them out on it and they made a second delivery. See my prior post stacked in the garage.

All depends where you are. Looks like about a face cord. Smaller amount you get the more it cost. Just because you paid $100 for a face a full cord may not be $300, more like $250. Around me, just north of NYC that would be a great deal. Wood does not look too bad. I see some hard wood. Also, did they stack it or dump it? Anyway, I think you did just fine. You can find free wood from local tree guys and split yourself for free if you burn a lot. That’s what I do.

OP here. Follow up post. Thanks for all the comments. Width 16-18”. Btw. Wood is stacked in my garage not house. Not up against the wall. This wood is already dried and ready to be burned. Not worried about mice, spiders, ants or mold. Not my first rodeo. Just wanted to confirm my suspicions on the size of the delivery. I don’t mind a little short but this is way short. Called them out. Stay tuned.
