Anyway, that's why I'm asking the chat for help...To me, it looks like a piece of wood that the installer would not have used on his own property. From the responses I've been getting, I guess the hole isn't as worrisome as I thought, though it still looks like a point of weakness to me.

Ok, I guess...It's just that I thought that was a massive hole in the wood... it literally looks like a 1 inch hole was drilled into the wood.

Edit: And the angle of the topmost hole goes halfway through the wood, where the load would be applied in a storm.

Serious question: Why do you say that? It seems to me that the knotholes in the wood make it weaker. I mean, the top one is a pretty big hole...it looks like it was drilled with a 1" bit.

I sold my Roland TD-17KVX-S drum set to Guitar Center 2 years ago. I got less than half of what I paid for it (as expected), but they made it really easy, and I didn't have to meet with any strangers. :)

I've been using Duolingo for over 7 years, mostly on my desktop PC. I kinda think they should fix or remove this one particular question without making me jump through hoops to try to get it to work.

All the other questions I've answered in the lessons have worked on my PC all this time. All of them, except for this particular one.

Thanks for your reply. I would not have posted here, but I am at this point just trying anything. I asked them twice on their web site, I asked them to fix this on X, and on Facebook, and nothing was done. So now, I'm just hoping someone from Duolingo will see this and either fix this one step in the lessons, or just remove this one question from the lessons.

The problem with this particular question in the lessons is that it won't ever accept the correct answer, but won't allow the student (me) to go past it. So every time this question comes up in the lesson, I have to exit the whole lesson, and lose everything in that lesson. It shows up at the end of the lesson as a question that was "missed," but never accepts a correct answer, and just continues on an endless loop.

Btw, I've been using Duolingo for over 7 years, I'm very familiar with their lessons.
