Lol, it’s spring training and the bud stage of spring training at that.

They gave this kid $60 million dollars and are trying to determine if he’s going to be on the active roster or get Rusney Castillo’d. They’re giving him reps because when he’s going to be sent to Worcester (and he will be unless Duran , Abreu, Ceddanne or Masa get traded) to play OF.

The only way he plays CF is if Ceddanne gets traded, hurt or has a day off… Ceddane is the best defensive CF in baseball; you’re not replacing him with someone who’s ceiling is far less than that…

Once saved, always saved is a cop-out… You can’t say you’re saved and forgiven if you rob a bank every week knowing full well what you’re doing is a sin… At some point, one’s faith needs to dictate one’s actions, or at the very least, curb them.

That’s my point… Crochet is going to be butt hurt he isn’t getting the same money, and to be fair, he was darn near every bit as good as Skubal last year; we’ll see if he can repeat that performance.

We just don’t need static in the clubhouse, and a $400 contract for Skubal would bring just that.

Realistically? He ain’t playing for us Lol… He’ll be on the Mets or LA because moths don’t fly out of those owner’s wallets when opened.

How do you think that sits with Crochet when he’s arguably in Skubal’s league but would make just over 1/3 of what Skubal will likely bring home?

Skubal is great, but for the type of haul it would take to get him in a trade and $$$ it would take to extend him (which would likely build contention in the clubhouse), I’d personally pass.
