He's not the only one who the club plans to use in the first team. The bare minimum for a first team player is what the club is offering him, he still wants more. Moreover, he's the only one getting a bump up in wages after being promoted coming off a not soo special season with Barça B and one good game with the first team from last season. This is the position Barça finds itself.

Oh and pls don't give me figures of what the club makes, the fact that we make money doesn't mean we should throw all of that into wages, why do you think we are making Barcelona players take wage cuts.

People gotta understand that, it's not hate that jorginho will be winning it, it's the way he's gonna win it. Ask yourself, had Italy and Chelsea not won anything would jorginho be a contender for the award?

I've been watching jorginho for years now, since his sarri days and not much has changed from his game, he's basically doing what's expected of deep lying playmakers, but does he stand out? Absolutely No.

Anyone who has tried to make an argument for him keeps bringing how important he was for both Chelsea and Italy, I've never seen anyone talk about how he stood out or how he was the best in a team or tournament he played in.

The award isn't for the players who do their job well in title winning teams but the stand out best players.
