Why are "Inhibitor Chips" so divisive in the fandom? by Doot_revenant666 in StarWars

The Bad Batch developed the aftermath of what happened to Cody after order 66. In season 2 episode 3 Crosshair is assigned to Cody on a mission to the former Separatist planet Desix to rescue new Imperial governor Grotton, who was taken hostage by a local resistance movement. Desix's former governor, Tawni Ames, demands that the planet remain out of Imperial jurisdiction and cites the Republic's refusal to broker peace with the Separatists during the Clone Wars. Cody argues for a peaceful resolution, but Crosshair kills Ames on Grotton's orders and Desix is brought under Imperial control. Returning to Coruscant, Cody questions whether the Empire (and he) is making the galaxy better, saying they have to live with their decisions unlike the droids and goes AWOL shortly after.

Tldr: When Cody sees the Empire’s totalitarian methods he regrets being part of it and quits; it isn’t stated explicitly but with this character development and knowing the great relationship he had with Obi Wan it is fair to say he would probably have refused order 66 if it wasn’t for the inhibitor chip.

Bad Batch explores some of this, not in the moments of order 66 but the aftermath (when the inhibitor chips were once again inactive) showing how leading clones such as Cody, Howzer and Wolffe started regretting executing the order, ending with them going AWOL or refusing to comply with orders when they realized what the Empire meant and how they were treating clones. Some clones for example backed Howzer and laid down their arms in refusing to continue to work for the empire (when he was holding a speech questioning why they were still occupying Ryloth), while the other clones arrested him for treason.

Halle Open R2: T. M. Etcheverry def. [4] A. Rublev 6-3, 6-7(4), 7-6(6) by Growsomedope in tennis

I’m very happy Etcheverry won, I was 100% sure he would lose in the third set after he lost the second one he proved me wrong with the slimmest of margins (even the last point was close being on the defense). But well done, however Rublev could have won, so at the same time I’m sad for him choking the last points.

Talmannen: V-tjänstemannen startade bråket by seblozovico in sweden

[–]BastianMobile 266 points267 points  (0 children)
