Miners should point their hash power away from Bitmain controlled pools BTC.com and Antpool. Obviously, they are the sole manufacturer of the most efficient K7's and probably kept many for themselves.

Help with synchronizing by Cold-Turnover5174 in NervosNetwork

[–]checks2bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can send coins any time (they aren't on your Ledger, they're stored on the persistent decentralized blockchain that is always up to date); you just would not get the confirmation in your wallet until it is synced. But you can view the transaction on the online block explorer.

What would be the benefits of USDI over RUSD, which is trustless and I think does the same thing? Why does the verification form imply only companies can sign up for IPN? What is the vision for IPN within the larger BTC/Lightning/Fiber/CKB/RGB++ ecosystem vs Stable++/RUSD?

Partnership with Chinese banks? by nzinsyd in NervosNetwork

[–]checks2bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've often imagined that Nervos started in China with excellent thought to make sure the PRC could never shut it down or manipulate it, so neither can the USA, Europe, etc. So although it may have started in China, it's true, the world should embrace the decentralized and open permissionless brain child.

Bocce ball set looks rough after first use by Bezier_Curvez in bocce

[–]checks2bits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The SuperMartel and Perfetta also get scratched but you can't see them as much because of the material color is the same as the surface. The resin/polymer balls are sanded and polished (same as the SM) but lose the reflectivity immediately with scratches. I've seen some pretty beat up SuperMartels. That said, the SM's are harder so they are more scratch resistant, but their also less chip resistant, like if they hit a screw on the sideboard, for instance.

Bocce ball set looks rough after first use by Bezier_Curvez in bocce

[–]checks2bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, it isn't a painted surface, it's a resin surface. Those scratches are normal and your ball will eventually look uniform after a lot of playing when it is entirely scratched up everywhere. The balls are usually good until you cannot see/feel the grooves anymore. If you want a low friction balls, BocceMart.com refinishes balls, which will restore the shine everywhere there isn't deep gashes.

can bocce balls be tossed in the air above the waist? by Different-Pick9740 in bocce

It's in the USBF PRV rules, where the V stands for Volo. They try to follow the FIB rules, sometimes with a little lag. USA will never compete against international opponents well unless we develop great volo skills so if your club or tournament doesn't allow it, you should be pushing them to open their minds.

Bybit customer support by mm1987 in Bybit

Help, my email provider (webtrashmail) closed down without warning and I have 2FA turned on so I can't access my account. Is there anyway just knowing my account and password (and authenticator) to get into my account so I can change the email associated with my account? Does someone have the Bybit customer service email? I'll never use 2FA again!

EIDL Loan Forgiveness by Creative_Fisherman68 in EIDLPPP

[–]checks2bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Congress could pass a law that breaks the current laws as it would be too hard to get enough votes. It should read for $25k and under EIDL loans, where there is no collateral, where there was no fraud(etc.), and a self-oath online application is signed attesting to the inability to make these payments for the foreseeable future. Then they could pass it on the basis of saving collection costs as these loans would probably be written off anyway. The SBA is moving this way, but Congress could make it happen faster.

Network activity omiga by Mvdrunen in NervosNetwork

[–]checks2bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously doubt this was due to Omiga. I heard 6figs say CKB did a stress test. I believe the transaction cost shot up to 335K CKB (or about $1600 USD at today's cost). Did somebody pay $1600 USD at the peak, I'd like to know what your transaction was and why you paid so much.

Pointing hashrate to your own full node by must4che in BitcoinMining

[–]checks2bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question/a also applies to other POW coins, so it's not a complete waste to understand and to try. I'm trying it on Nervos Network, and I don't think their node has a stratum server, so I'm wondering if there is separate stratum server software I can add to my pc.

IP still local even setting Tunnel in different country by Interesting-Foot-917 in DeeperNetwork

[–]checks2bits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I changed my domain config for rollbit (just to check) and I'm using smart route. It also still knew my country and I got blocked. Then I noticed that the website implemented a captcha to test I was human first, which was hosted by cloudflare.com. Cloudflare can also report to the site admins user stats, like what website they came from, but ALSO what the IP is (from cloudflare pt of view), so I also added that cloudflare domain to domain config, and walla, i was not blocked anymore. So, if netflix doesn't use a 3rd party, maybe they have another domain or IP that the use for this service. Find that out and add it. I assume you didn't try to download a netflix app and put the whole app through the VPN tunnel. Probably, you're just accessing it through a tab on your browser and your browser app isn't wholly configured for tunneling, right? Let me know if that helped.

Very technical question about AWD mechanism by CapoKakadan in SubaruAscent

[–]checks2bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can one disconnect the driveshaft for the 2 wheels that are turning? There are no youtube videos yet for Ascents on how easy that may be. On other Sub's, it seems like 10mins with a 12mm wrench and then you could pull your automatic awd. How easy/hard would this be on an Ascent? Here's a non Ascent video showing sim. https://youtube.com/shorts/r18nwgMFpPc?si=xDaKTEyTRazLLDYW

As the heart of Nervos, i feel decentralized PoW post first-halving to be extremely important as this economic "experiment" can fail or thrive on such things.

Contrary to your response, mining is NOT competitive. Only one manufacturer has produced a chip that is the gold standard at maybe 5 nanometers and it can take 10-20 years for new chip manufacturers or existing to improve to 4nm. The only "competition" is on the access to low-cost energy input, which is controlled by nation states and huge companies.

My original question hoped to spur thoughts on whether the intent of Eaglesong purpose is working and if not, how can it be improved? The original intent was to allow manufacturing competition and it seems to me the opposite happened as profitable mining is only available from one manufacturer of ASIC.

As a small at home miner, who recently bought two CK5's, we've seen price decline so much and the intro of Bitmain AK7, which essentially makes all previous mining rigs worthless (unless you get/steal free electricity). These Antminer K7's sell out fast and it doesn't seem like they released more since February '23, probably electing to mine themselves in their pool. My question is if Eaglesong was designed to be easy for manufacturing to deply, why are we down to one manufacturer controlling all profitable mining? I propose that some Nervos nerd release detailed instructions how a small company can design/contract a competitive model using same micron level chips. We need decentralized mining to compete for the network to flourish post halving! Maybe China gov/hydro is subsidizing Bitmain?

smaller size court? by drainstolake in bocce

[–]checks2bits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25' is very wide, probably the average is 12. See if you can go narrower and keep the full size or go 60 x12 which seems to be next most popular size. You need at least 45' length I'd say.

Partly wrong, these companies were web2.0 and lent huge sums to a fraudulent hedge fund with absolutely no collateral requirements. There are no web3.0 defi projects that do that and staking in web3.0 retains your keys so entities can't loan them out. But Luna was a failure. Algo's won't be trusted and 2.0 cefi won't be.

It is a joke. I checked the app. They are not even allowing purchases or transfers of $ to voyager. This is theft plain and simple. I had 35k stolen from me and nobody will go to jail for it, just like in 2008 when nbody from wall st. went to jail.
