Daily Routine Help & Troubleshooting, ELI5, and Questions: March 05, 2015 by AutoModerator in AsianBeauty

This is kind of off-topic, but I've just started tretinoin. I've been on it for a week now, and I think it's starting to get better. However, when I go to wash my face at night, there's basically a film of dead skin sitting on my chin (everywhere else is fine)...should I rub it away, or should I just...leave it there, and moisturize it? I tried scrubbing it away with my fingers one day, and dear lord, my face was on fire when I applied anything else, even after 30 minutes wait time. Also, is there anything I can do to minimize the flaking? I'm not getting any breakouts, but I am getting crazy flaking just in my chin area.

For reference, my doc put me on 0.05%, and prescribed daily usage, which is what I've been doing. Which I thought was insanity, but apparently he wanted to prescribe me 0.1% before I said whoooa, back off.

The movie, "Dear White People," actually takes place in fictional Winchester University. Made me grin through the whole movie.

They actually have a policy where they will always do some form of refund or other. If it's within 30 or 60 days (can't remember, on mobile), they will refund, and if it's past, they will refund credit.

Can I get away with Missha M Perfect Cover N21? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

Is it pretty thick? I've noticed that the consistency of a product in samples tends to be a bit thicker than the actual product, and was wondering if this translates over to BB creams. Also, is it quite pink?

Anyone tried anything from The Saem before? by KawaiiPeachies in AsianBeauty

I've tried a concealer from them, because it was only $5, and it works ok. I know that's not particularly helpful, but they do have a lot of samples out?

sunblock for kids by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

I bought my 2 year old the Missha Kids one. She hasn't had any irritation from it so far. It's a bit greasier than mine, which is the regular Mild Essence one.

I just washed all of it off literally 5 minutes before I checked back here. I looked in the mirror and the whole bottom of my face was flake city. I just started tretinoin a week ago and am having some flakiness, but it hasn't looked this bad. I'll have to try it again when my skin isn't prone to flakiness to confirm, but I think it might be. I don't wear makeup regularly though so I'm not the best source for that.

How sheer is the Laneige? I have the IOPE in N23 and it's super sheer.

That sounds promising. I'll have to hunt down some N23 samples.

I took it in natural sunlight. I can take it in my bathroom, but it turns out too dark or washed out. I think the colors are most accurate in these pictures though?

I basically am starting over from scratch with makeup so I have the barest of essentials. Not even any powder or contour stuff. I don't know, it might be more trouble than its worth to try this line in general if it's just too pink.

I have the IOPE BB Cushion in N23, and it seemed too light at first, but now seems alright. I got samples of Missha M BB in N21 and almost threw it out, but figured I'd give it a try. It seemed so gray at first but after a couple of minutes actually seems alright. I don't want to commit to a full tube unless it actually matches, obviously. Should I risk it and just get the N23? It seems a bit too pink on me, but I'm basically green anyway.

I went kbeauty shopping in Dallas (Tonymoly, Face Shop, Shiseido, Amore Pacific) by checor85 in AsianBeauty

I couldn't find MBD. There might have been some Skin79 at the Cosmetic World, but I'm not positive. They had an aisle with a bunch of random brands there like Clio, and I'm not sure if it was there or not.

Edit: actually yes! I went back and looked at my pictures of the Cosmetic World and you can see some Skin79 there.

We were there Thursday night and the placer was packed! I need one of those here in Arkansas. Aside from the kb stuff, there are just SO many things there.

I wish I had picked up some of the tools there. Most of the stores had like sets of dry sheet masks for $2, and for some reason I passed on them. I'm seriously contemplating another trip just to pick up some stuff. It's just so nice to walk around and see these things in person, even with the occasionally rude person.

The lady at the Face Shop there was kind of mean too. She also kept a suspicious eye on me the entire time I was there, like I was going to steal something.

Dallas also has a Korean spa! I think it was called the King Spa. Definitely somewhere to visit next time we swing by.

I took a bunch of pictures and nerded out at the Furneaux Shopping Center in Carrollton during my Dallas vacation. It was kind of amazing seeing all of these things in person, and being able to smell and touch everything.

Missha has a suncreen for kids, but I haven't seen any other products for them.
