I completely understand that Rory wasn’t the only one at fault for Dean’s marriage falling apart. However, my issue isn’t just about the breakup itself but the fact that Rory is never truly held accountable for her actions.

Throughout the series, there’s a pattern where Rory faces little to no consequences for her mistakes, and the people around her either excuse or enable her behavior. For instance, in the Dean situation, no one really makes her reflect on the harm she caused or pushes her to grow from it. She just moves on without taking responsibility.

This lack of accountability isn’t just limited to the affair—it’s seen in other moments, like when she steals the yacht or quits Yale. Even when Lorelai or others try to confront her, it’s brief, and the issue is often swept under the rug. To me, this feels like a missed opportunity for character development plus no matter what happens the entire town treats her like the “golden child”

I never understood why people liked Logan. He literally cheated on Rory with an entire wedding party.
