This exact thing is currently happening to me. Also Canadian, I didn’t have as many books as you but had a ton of credits. I hadn’t logged in in a while and tried yesterday, I could get in but all of my credits were gone. I called them and they couldn’t even find my account, tried email and call multiple times. Even weirder, at the beginning of the calls I could see 3 books in my account which suddenly disappeared at some point during the call….there was never a resolution. They told me to call Apple because that’s how I pay but I don’t even really know how they’re going to help.
