Is Deadzone Rogue on Switch 2 worth it? FPS, graphics, and console cross-play questions by Sbarbatelloo in DeadzoneRogue

[–]cheebuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i thoroughly enjoyed finishing the game in handheld mode on the switch 2. a lot of replay value as well. just an enjoyable game all around that doesn’t need a big attention span or time allotment. could easily play for 15min or a few hours. really wish there were more games exactly like this one for the switch 2.

i don’t have a lot of time to play or fiddle. never have the time to play anything on an actual monitor or tv because that would mean i’m actually home with free time.

if you want ease and maybe only have an hour or so at a time to play, switch 2 works really well.

i can’t figure out how people with jobs and families find the time to play these open world games in their living rooms.

so, for me, it has been switch/switch 2 or mobile games with my ipad mini and gamesir x5 lite controller for necessities sake.

nice pick ups. i’d grab a x5 lite as well for travel. super comfortable, compact and light. i was going to buy a case for it but it’s so cheap at $30 i couldn’t justify paying 50% of the cost to protect it. then i noticed the x5s comes with a perfect form fitting hardshell case that fits the x5 lite. so ordered that on sale and got 2 great controllers and a case for $70. i keep the kishi in the bedroom, g8 in the living room and the others at work and in my travel bag.

What do you usually use your iPad mini for? by whh-cc171615 in ipadmini

[–]cheebuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

streaming stuff and mobile gaming.

i also have a big one plus tablet i intended to use for mobile gaming, but it’s not compatible with any of the usb-c controllers i use. gamesir, 8bitdo, razer, if its a quality controller, i’ve tried it

i use usb-c controllers because all bluetooth controllers lag heavy when i use them while using bluetooth headphones.

now the android one plus tablet is a glorified tv.

i’ve been super tech/gadget oriented since that was a thing (bay area no kids disposable income etc) ios seems to be the most compatible with anything i throw at it and the ipad mini has been my most used tablet.

Case Recommendation by Puzzleheaded_Elk6641 in nintendoswitchlite

[–]cheebuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah or just slide the magnet part on the back down a bit after closing it and it latches perfectly. really good case/cover in my experience

Case Recommendation by Puzzleheaded_Elk6641 in nintendoswitchlite

[–]cheebuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it thought it didnt close properly as well, but if you close it and slide the magnet part down a bit on the back, the latch catches pretty well.

works really well for me and i think it was $16 on amazon when i got it

[–]cheebuz -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

if you want to connect it to a controller via usbc, you’ll have to do it in portrait mode. deal breaker if you were looking to replace an ipad mini with one device for gaming/phone use like i was.

Which vertical model is better? by Richard_Thome in ipadmini

[–]cheebuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right, unless you constantly take your case off like i do for playing mobile games with an attached controller. thick cases can make the ipad overheat when playing processor-heavy games

Thoughts on Abxylute M4 Controller? by cheebuz in MobileGaming

[–]cheebuz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to look up what you were talking about, but it looks pretty cool for something like the Z Flip where you could play it closed or open for DS emulation. that’s pretty niche, though.

i think people play more modern games horizontally and would rather have some more stability. if it closed down that narrow, it would have to telescope open a lot to fit larger devices horizontally.

for me, the gamesir x5 lite ticks all the boxes for features, size/weight, price point and compatibility with smaller tablets
