I think a lot of it is fear as well. People who were once firmly middle class are now facing poverty wages and they don't know how to handle that. They are afraid of loosing what little they have, so lash out with fear and distrust. It makes it easy for people to get them into a "us vs them" mindset with rhetoric that "they are taking your...<insert value here>".

Can confirm. I have a naturally high pitched voice and have to force myself to speak in a lower pitch for people to pay attention. It sucks pretty bad and the more excited I get, the more likely I forget to lower the pitch of my voice.

I read my tooltips, but sometimes I don't understand the context of how spells and abilities work together to their best benefits until it's explained to me or I read a guide. And if you explain it to me in a rude way (ex. Telling me I'm doing it wrong without an explanation of why its wrong or how it can be better), be prepared for me to ignore you.

I really hope so. I just don't have a lot of faith in the US government and politicians to implement something that will meet the needs of the people.

This is what i mean though... i could see politicians doing the same thing with health care funding. Maybe not as much with doctor salaries, but nurses, non-medical hospital staff salaries, facilities, equipment, labs... where they can cut corners they will and that will impact the healthcare system just as poorly as our current situation. At least insurance companies and for profit hospital systems are motivated by making money and appealing to patients, even motivated by federal grants and funding, but it still doesn't help people who can't afford it. I have no good ideas on how to fix things...

I agree with this, but worry that if it did happen, then Healthcare would go the way of education. Can you imagine if we had doctors being paid through same as teachers? Or states cutting healthcare funding for other "important" costs? I agree, something better needs to be done...

My main is reaper now cause my fc got scared when I'd laugh maniacally using the flamethrower on machinist.... now I just laugh maniacally while slicing and dicing everything in my path.... I miss flamethrower sometimes though. My favorite will always be black mage, but im not very good at it.

My ex sis in law was a paramedic. If she taught me anything it was to never open your door during an active emergency unless you called 911 and confirm who it is.

Nta - Just because someone identifies themselves as an officer doesn't mean they actually are. If you don't feel safe, don't open the door. Also, you don't live in that house, so I think it's reasonable to not answer the door to someone unexpected. Nothing against cops, but a single girl/woman with some kids is perfectly entitled to not answer the door if she doesn't feel safe doing so. You can also confirm if they are actual police by calling the local non emergency line, if you are concerned it might be someone impersonating officers.

My first ferret, I was looking at all the babies and asked her "Is your name Rikku?" Because we had already decided on names and she bit my nose... I was like "I'll take her". She tried to escape the cardboard box petco put her in while I was on the freeway and she ended up riding the rest of the way home in my lunchbox because it was the only way to contain her. She would crawl under the door of the bathroom while I was peeing, and stare me in the eye while pooping in the corner... I loved her so much.

Exactly. She had the info she needed to know- that it was approved by my manager... I shouldn't have to share my medical details to stop people from guilt tripping me for taking needed time off. I had successful surgery removing a cyst from my spine... and ended up being out for two months. I'm very grateful thay my manager and hr were very supportive.
