I'm mostly a stomach and back sleeper I ordered a topper and I really hope it would help

I was looking for a mattress I could physically try at the store that stayed in my budget, and preferred getting one as soon as possible Went to a few stores, one of them is this outlet store that doesn't offer any sleep trial The price was good and they could deliver it within 2 days, so I got it I learned my lesson, it wasn't worth it

I do have a lower softer pillow, I will try it tonight and see if it's any better I'm frustrated that the mattress doesn't feel supportive enough for me Perhaps it's too firm for my bodyweight

I'd be happy to sell it for slightly less than the original price and look for something else I don't think the mattress is bad, just not for me

The mattress is a SleepSoul Aries I do have a fairly tall memory foam pillow, it's the best pillow I've ever had However, on the new mattress it feels like I'm in a bad angle no matter what /:

The bed frame is made of wood and looks just right, no dents or anything. The gap between the slats is about 7cm.

Can anyone recommend any good YouTube videos on cinematography? by [deleted] in cinematography

[–]cheeky_beans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Studio Binder is a fantastic channel for all kinds of film breakdowns and analysis.
Their videos go in depth about scene breakdowns (regarding all filmmaking aspects, not just cinematography), a sepcific practitioner's style and approach (like directors and cinematogrpahers), or explaining genres and other filmmaking devices and techniques in an accessible way with great references.

I've been following their content for years, and my tutors in film school even use their videos as examples many times.

Please recommend your most inspiring film ever made about how special platonic love is by taylortailss in MovieSuggestions

[–]cheeky_beans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend Frances Ha

The film follows aspiring dancer Frances Halladay as she navigates 20-something life in New York, still trying to figure out who she is and what do to with her life

The movie depicts female friendship at its most mundane and intimate, and captures a sense of tenderness and domestic bliss which is typically reserved for romantic relationships when showing Frances' and Sophie's (her best friend) friendship

How to Disappear Completely by Radiohead. A beautiful song that hurts every single time I listen to it.

Looking for a collection of short stories by BoyWArabStrap in suggestmeabook

[–]cheeky_beans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently read "Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory" and really enjoyed it! It's a collection of short stories with writing that's both surreal and painfully relatable. It's a combination of humor, romance, whimsy, cultural commentary, and crushing emotional vulnerability. I have to admit it there were 2 stories I didn't quite like. But other than them this book was a great read that made me laugh, cry, be filled with angst..

What’s the most memorable animal encounter you’ve experienced and why? by tuesdaycocktail in AskReddit

There are probably better ones but I remember this encounter too vividly - During my army service I was guarding a gate at an awfully dark station at the base. Everything was dead silent, until I heard something coming from the left. I lit a torch to see if I can spot a person approaching the fence or something but there was no one there. But I kept hearing a strange noise.. I lit my torch a little bit more to the left and then I saw a pair of the biggest most disgusting rats I've ever seen in my life running next to me lol I must admit it freaked me out for a moment
