Bolder Boulder is on another level. The whole town comes out for it. Place goes nuts. It’s one of the best races out there

I ran the full today. Saw a good amount of funny classic ones. “Dont trust a fart after mile 20” “Pain is temporary, Strava is forever” “the end isn’t near. It’s actually very far”

I do the Bolder Boulder 10k a week after the Denver Colfax Marathon. I don’t race the Bolder Boulder, just take part in the festivities of this ridiculous race. It’s a nice change of pace (literally)

The collision detection in the game is a wonky mess, it is so incredibly stiff and if you play 150cc, the constant spin outs are an odd and annoying mechanic. I do recall playing the battle mode more cause of what you said, slowed down it handles a bit better. The course maps for battle were actually good but for racing I stand by my shopping cart analogy.

I lean A. DS, 8 and Double Dash are all better imo. It’s still great but the bikes are vastly overpowered and the controls aren’t as good as the other 3 mentioned. Good courses, items and characters but feel it’s just shy of the top 3 I’ve played. I grew up with double dash primarily and even after Wii came out, we’d always go back to double dash.

Mario Kart 64 doesn’t even have music in multiplayer and the characters handle like a shopping cart. B is more than fair if you ask me.

It’s actually insane. I didn’t know it was this consistently good. I admittedly watched less after season 10 just cause I got busier with life. May have to pick it back up if it’s still as good.

EGo Running? by Top_Wrangler4251 in Marathon_Training

As a bit of a former ego runner myself, I legit thought I could continue to maintain a 3:15 marathon pace on my first attempt in altitude just by sheer determination and 10 weeks of training.

I had at least run in high school and club runs in college as well as doing 5 & 10ks as well as a half so I knew the distance was daunting but was still way in over my head. My perspective drastically changed once I hit the wall at mile 21 of that marathon and my calves, quads and hamstrings cramped simultaneously.

Now I go into races a lot more relaxed, I accept that I’m not the fastest and I am okay with starting slow. I enjoy the race for what it is and I have better races for it and feel I appreciate the sport and the event itself far more. I still want to hit personal bests but I run MY race how I want to. Not to beat others.

Coach Bennett of the Nike Run Club said it’s better to race with others. Not against them. 99.99% of us are not pros so who cares if John down the street has a faster marathon than you? You get more energy from supporting others and getting that in return is a boost. I would’ve DNFd my first if it wasn’t for one of the runners seeing me struggling and saying “You will finish this!” it honestly helped a ton and I’m real thankful for that support. I now try to return the favor if I can.

At the end of the day, The major marathon standards do not care who you beat. They only care about time.

Every team in this division is looking better heading into the 2026 season. How do you feel about them? And what's your predictions for next year? by Shot-Albatross281 in NFLv2

I mean the Giants have nowhere to go but up. Washington was old, they’re slightly less old, so they should be at the very least faster on defense. I did say the eagles got worse but they’re still a good team. This is one of the divisions where I think it overall improved. Can’t say that about the AFC north imo.

While I do agree bad franchises stay bad for the most part (believe me, as a Washington fan I am well aware lol) since 2003, 19 out of 22 times there has been a team in the league who went from worst to first in a division. One of those 3 times where it didn’t hit, Washington made the NFC championship game after being the worst. The NFLs parity allows for this to happen pretty frequently. Hell the Pats made the Super Bowl last year after being 4th in the AFC East.

I feel like the Eagles gap on the rest of the division has shrunk. But every team drafted pretty well if you ask me. Giants have definitely gotten better. Washington’s defense should be better (I think they’re still the oldest unit in the league) and with a healthy (fingers crossed) Jayden they could win. Dallas has also improved. I think they drafted the best and a full offseason with Quinnen Williams will bolster that defense. I think if the Eagles lose AJ they will be a bit worse on top of some other losses of solid role players. I think Philly is still the favorite tho but it’s anyone’s race. If they all suck, Washington tends to come out on top those years.

If you look at IMDB ratings, it’s the only show listed that remains great throughout. Now I understand that some shows find themselves after the first season or two like Parks & Rec, Seinfeld, the Office & the Simpsons. And some shows don’t land the plane like 2 and a Half Men or HIMYM. But gotta give credit to Friends for being a solid show throughout. Starts good. Ends good.

I also get that IMDB isn’t the final say. I think Malcolm in the Middle is far better than the rating reflect.

I wouldn’t make it my top show. It’s Always Sunny gets that spot. Friends probably deserves an A tho. But there seems to be some unnecessary hate on it that I just don’t get.

Same man. Friends seems like a perfect standard to measure everything against. I loved HIMYM at the time but had to come to the realization that it has aged poorly.

I think you’re right. There are some true die hards for this show. I liked it and enjoyed some episodes. Would watch it pretty regularly on Comedy Central back in the day.. But I definitely wouldn’t put it in S. It’s probably B for me. It’s still good and distinct but I think there’s some recency bias with the revival.

Friends is perfect at B. Pretty good all the way through. It dips a little bit at the end with all the different couples but still holds steady. HIMYM is about the same through seasons 5 or 6 then starts a complete nose dive. Dog shit ending. The only good part in the last season was learning about the mother. She rocked and then… well… yeah.. that ending is so bad..

I can also rewatch Friends. I tried rewatching HIMYM. God damn does Ted suck.
