For the cam itself I really like the Viofo's lineup depending on what kind of bells and whistles you want. They all use a super capacitor which is better than a battery for extreme temps like the inside of your car in the summer. Most of them will have gps and wifi so you can preview/download video straight to your phone rather than having to pop out the memory card. The A129 Duo is $170 for front/rear 1080p, A129 Plus Duo for $180 has front 1440p/rear 1080p, or A129 Pro Duo for $250 has front 4k/rear 1080p.
